Obama's administration budgetary deficit in six months of presidency (strong red).
CATASTROPHIC!! 1,089 trillon $ of deficit. All time record.

These are all big issues for recovery. But the deficit is the looming monster. It will abort any recovery unless the world finds 1.2 trillion dollars a year to loan us for the next 10 years at interst rates that don’t abort the recovery (the alternative being big-time inflation).

Do you know that the Dems have been in control of Congress and the Senate for over 2 years?
That Congress originates spending bills?
That Obama and the current Congress passed a stimulus bill in addition to the budget?
How about that Obama has been in office 6 months and we are now in the longest recession in history? Unemployment up from 5% to 9.5% during the Obama administration?
That the last time we had this long a downturn there also was an activist Democratic President spending huge sums of money to “fix” the economy and get people working (FDR)?

LOL. What are you smoking? W did not push a 1 trillion $ a year spending package thru congress falsely labeled as stimulus. The NEW spending Obama pushed thru is going to average just under a trillion dollars a year for ten years.
This isn’t to justify the Bush/Pelosi deficits, which were horrible and which I criticized at the time. But in the end, the Obama/Pelosi deficits make W look like an amateur.
I used to accuse W of spending like a drunken democrat—but that turned out to be deeply unfair to drunks.

If you are burning old trees, you are actually ‘helping’ the CO2 situation more than Gore et al. Dead trees add to the atmospheric CO2 as they rot and are consumed by termites, etc., so burning them instead of using electricity, coal, or oil is something the the anti-fossil-fuel warm-mongers should like.

Sorry the Bush fault chestnut is not going to fly much longer. Obama owned the deficit by signing the so called “Stimulus” bill. Should Bush remind congress to watch in how they spend yes, but he is no longer President.
