President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad railed against the United States in a speech yesterday, showing little indication of embracing Washington's offer of engagement, a day after Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said time was running out.

President Obama has offered to engage Iran in dialogue with the hope of reducing tension over Iran's nuclear program, which the West fears is aimed at developing a nuclear weapon but which Tehran maintains is peaceful.

Clinton: US Still Seeks Iran Dialogue Despite Election Repression

http://www.voanews.com/english/2009-07-15-voa22.cfm

“U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday the Obama administration still seeks dialogue with Iran despite what she called the Tehran government’s deplorable and unacceptable use of violence to quell election protests. In a foreign policy speech, Clinton also left open the prospect of talks with moderate elements of Afghanistan’s Taliban movement.

But, she nonetheless said the United States should engage directly with Tehran authorities on issues like Iran’s nuclear program and support for terrorism to determine if it wants to become a responsible member of the world community or continue on a path to further isolation.”

The US begging the rogue, terrorist Iran to please talk to us and Iran spurns our pleas. Thsi really improves the standing of the US in the world. Great job, President Obama! (/sarc).

Ahmadinejad regards the States as #1 enemy, regardless of administration.

And here I was counting on Obambi to make peace with the world so my children/grand-children will live in safety. Where did I go wrong? Obama promised he would “engage” the world. Guess his idea of “engage” leans more to the Chamberlain ideology than the Reagan’s.

It would seem rather difficult to “engage” someone in a rational conversation who is a maniac who is hell bent on the utter destruction of your way of life. That’s right. There’s no sense in trying to reason with Zero.

But.....but.....Obamna told us that all we had to do was be nice to Ahmadinejad, engage him, sit down and have a pleasant conversation with him. If we would just do that, everything would be just peachy, and we’d all live in peace and harmony and friendship forever and ever. Gee, maybe that won’t work after all.

Well, that's one way of getting rid of unsightly cankles.

The "Moderate" Taliban will be happy to box them up for her.

Sorry, no ice.
