Conservative political strategist Floyd Brown, who gained a sort of immortality during the 1988 presidential campaign for an ad attacking Democratic candidate Mike Dukakis over the furloughing of a violent prisoner, has a new article up at WorldNetDaily attacking CNN for shutting down Lou Dobbs’ coverage of “birthers.” CNN president Jon Klein had credited CNN’s political researchers with debunking the story. Brown and his wife/co-author Mary dissent:

If “the political researchers” at CNN had made more extensive inquiries than just repeating a public statement made on June 7, 2009, by the Department of Health spokesman to a local newspaper, they would have discovered that up until sometime between June 10 and June 18, 2009, the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands required applicants for special privileges to present copies of their original birth certificates. The DHHL regarded the shorter “Certification of Live Birth” as insufficient. Therefore the DHHL instructed all applicants to this program in the accepted procedure for obtaining copies of their original birth certificate from the Department of Health.
… Klein’s message to Dobbs’ staffers is deceptive or mistaken. Up until the middle of June 2009, Obama could “produce the original birth certificate.” And the Hawaiian Department of Health could produce it now if he authorized it to do so. The story is not “dead,” even though Klein has just tried to kill it. So Klein either lied to or misled Dobbs’ staffers or was lied to or misled by the Hawaiian Department of Health.

If nothing else, this demonstrates the degree to which conservative political operatives have paid attention to this conspiracy theory, even after Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign (quietly) found the rumors easily to debunk.
I really wish we would focus on the terrible job this POTUS is doing, not on a pipe dream conspiracy theory that is just that...a pipe dream.

You can’t get special privileges with the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands by just using the short form..but hey..it is good enough to become President???

They didn't find them "easy" to debunk. They found them easy to ignore. As they found nearly every chink in Hussein's armor easy to ignore.
I might be willing to believe that Juan McAmnesty seriously looked at the BC issue *IF* he had evidenced any interest in *ANYTHING* about Hussein that was weak on.
Obama has/had a cornucopia of soft spots that McCain openly refused to even address, much less exploit. So, there is no reason I should believe that McCain gave a crap about the BC, anymore than anything else.

When I got this book in 1993, I found it boring and didn't read more than about five pages. I ran across it on my bookshelf again and read it. Floyd Brown really knew what he was talking about! Now, I can see how what he said has been played out in the past several years, and I wonder what will be next. I wish more people had read this book and listened then.ML/NJ

stupid side show without legs. It will go nowhere.
Questions about Obama’s birth will not go away. All the secrecy, document purges, sealing of records and public information gone missing from multiple sources about Obama’s history only adds to the question of why. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to cover up anything about Obama’s past starting with his birth records and they would not be doing this without some reason.

Well this is not your average woman. She is a rabid anti-American, lover of foreign men, etc. It would be reasonable to think that she wanted her son to NOT be born in America, according to her anti-American principles.
And also, what makes you think it was her that placed the ad in the paper? Could it not have been another family member living there?
Per Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution, one must be a natural born American citizen to serve as President. Barack Obama is NOT eligible for the Presidency because he is not a natural born citizen. John A. Bingham, primary framer, 14th Amendment, states- “Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen.” Obama himself has stated that he is the son of a Kenyan- Kenya being a foreign sovereignty. Thus, Obama is not a natural born citizen even if he were actually born in Hawaii.

Now Hawaii officials are saying that all birth certificates were destroyed in 2001. But on October 31, 2008, this contrary statement-
“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record. Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.”
