SIX MILE, S.C. -- A Pickens County woman was ticketed over the weekend for riding a stolen horse down Main Street in Six Mile -- but police said the woman blamed the horse for the ticket.
Tracy Nadine Ellenburg, 40, was given a ticket for disorderly conduct after a pedestrian flagged down an officer on Saturday and told them Ellenburg was riding down the center yellow line and was barely able to stay on the horse.
The sheriff's report said an officer found a large tan horse tied to a bench at a convenience store and found Ellenburg trying to use a phone inside.

Go easy on her, dude! That's the 2009 Miss Six Mile!
LOL
Btw, there's no such thing as a "tan" horse. Buckskin, dun, light sorrel, cream, cremello, but not "tan".
Horses don't tan. They burn.

Not if you are careful and baste often. Tasty as well.
Somebody needs to put a feed bag over her head.

Palomino, also, in a large variety of shades.
Sunburn is a common problem for horses, especially on the face, where the hair is lighter. My stallion at age 6 is just now not requiring my slathering Desinex on his nose for such protection. And he hated the process. But it worked.
OTOH- Horses cannot consume alcohol at any level- It will kill them.
I can use human cough syrup on them when they have a cough that persists more than 6 hours or so. (Also wet their hay while they have the cough). But, I have to find only cough syrup that has absolutely NO ALCOHOL in it.
I have never eaten horsemeat (it could be somebody I knew) but I used to buy it for my show cats because it made their coats beautifully slick and glossy.
It was EXTREMELY tough. You had to slice it across the grain or the cats couldn't chew it.
And my (now retired) mare is black, but if you have a light-colored horse with pink skin, especially on the face and ears, you have to be sure to put sunblock on them if you're going to be out in the sun for a long time. A gray horse I rode a long time ago got skin cancer from overexposure to the sun.

I used to have a big old off-the-track Quarter Horse gelding who LOVED to drink beer, specifically Budweiser.
I made a point of asking the vet if it would hurt him to have a beer with the rest of us, and after she stopped laughing, she told me just not to let him drink so much he got drunk and fell over.
He would stick his head out of the stall door and nicker for his beer as soon as I unsaddled him. I wrapped a washcloth around a long-neck Bud and tipped it up for him, and he'd drain it dry in one or two gulps.
This was his standard post-exercise routine for YEARS, and it did him absolutely no harm.
He did break my hand one time falling through a triple combination, but it wasn't because he was drunk, he was just a big old klutz.
LOL...Getting drunk with your horse......I wondered why the horse I used to ride would always pull to the right! hmmmmmmm
Drunken horse ping.
There is actually a case in Georgia that says you can be convicted of DUI for riding a horse drunk. So we were always VERY careful . . . . :-D
Lee Marvin and his drunk horse in Cat Ballou.
So would you..or the horse have to go to AA if you were charged with a DUI?? LOL. Gotta be careful.......
I’ve heard of people getting DUI’s for riding their lawn mower while drunk.......I think Johnny Cash got in trouble for that one... LOL
LOL! I have no idea - the horse didn’t appeal!
Wow, she got to 40 the hard way.
She looks like 20 miles of bad road.
