I have a friend who's an adamant atheist. He's turned down the opportunity for marriage with a woman who was only agnostic.
He's also the most unhappy person I've ever met. “If there's a God, why am I miserable? Why do loved ones die? Why did it rain when I wanted to go on a picnic?”
I hope this guy doesn't pass his miserable “belief” system onto another generation.

And I thought it was lame when my parents sent me to “Constrained Pareto Optimal Economics” camp.

I've never understood why "freethinkers" think the "God didn't make everything absolutely perfect, so therefore He doesn't exist!!!!" argument is a good one.

It’s really more like if God doesn’t do everything the way I want, when I want, then He’s not a good God. Some people wouldn’t be happy with God unless He’s their sugar daddy.
The whole attitude comes from selfishness. That’s why that friend is so miserable.
He makes his own bad decisions, like with the marriage and then blames God for being miserable.

The whole attitude comes from selfishness. Thats why that friend is so miserable. Exactly. He is a lib (of course) so it's a combination of narcissism and selfishness. The idea of helping others because it's the "right" thing to do, is completely alien to him. He does (useless) acts of "charity" because they will make him feel virtuous, and hopefully virtuous in the eyes of others.
He makes his own bad decisions, like with the marriage and then blames God for being miserable.
I've known thousands of people in my life, but I can't think of an individual that has made more terrible decisions, than this guy.

The children will be taught there’s no reason for them to live and suicide kits will be provided.

And, of course, it’s God’s fault.

==The children will be taught theres no reason for them to live Agreed, they will literally be taught that there is no reason for their life. ==and suicide kits will be provided. Not just suicide kits, but eternal suicide kits in the form of the God-hating tracts they will be handing out to promote their damnable evo-religion.

That is precisely what he’s doing. As they say, misery just loves company.
To: metmom
wait, if he is an atheist, why would he blame it on God? Does not make sense because he does not believe in any sort of god or God....understand?
To: mikelets456
