Obama stumped by dumb Americans opposing ObamaCare
hotair.com ^ | July 31, 2009 | Karl

President Obama suggests the bitter clingers in middle America are so dense that even the greatest orator in world history cannot educate them:

“I don’t spend a lot of time looking at my polls. I do look at the polling on health care, partly because I think that there is a terrific case to be made to the American public. But it is — this is complicated, it’s difficult,” the president said. “And I will say that this has been the most difficult test for me so far in public life, trying to describe in clear, simple terms how important it is that we reform this system. The case is so clear to me.”

The establishment media has already started blaming the American people, so it is not a shock that The Politico is now pushing this line from Capitol Hill:

Olympia Snowe, it seems safe to assume, is following the health care debate a bit more closely than the average American.

So it is saying something that the Maine senator — a key figure in health care negotiations — admits she is stumped by the task of crafting a simple explanation for legislation of mind-numbing complexity.

“If anybody can give me an easy, 30-second solution to this multitrillion-dollar problem, be my guest,” said Snowe, a moderate Republican.

How about each state establishes a high-risk pool to cover pre-existing conditions and we start enforcing immigration laws. You can fund it with the unspent 90% of the Porkulus Bill.

See, it's not that hard.

There’s a middle ground between no insurance,
and “insurance” that pays for everything.

You should pay out of pocket for the foreseeable expenses.
Insurance should be for the catastrophic, rare, and unforeseeable stuff, just like for cars.

You don’t have “insurance” to pay for oil changes, but for accidents.

Mr. Obama, how much help did you lend your predecessor's effort to reform social security, or wasn't that important?

Apparently you haven’t any experience of healthcare before they invented health insurance.

It was good and cheap.

That’s what I want back.

Anyone that can’t pay can just lay down and die.

But it's been said that he is a good articulate speaker.

Why didn't he make the pitch for socialized medicine in his 2008 campaign message of "hope and change"? Let the voters KNOW what sort of changes he intended (apparently the same as the Clintons).

He also mocked those who call this socialized medicine. He did it by presenting an example (of a fictitious?) woman who screamed "I don't want socialized medicine and don't touch my medicaid!!!". He presents her as a hypocrite but he doesn't put forth any arguments to disprove that this is Socialized Medicine.

It’s simple, so called President,

get your creepy hands out of my life - the lives of those I’m responsible for and those I care about!

...then get your lawless, godless, unconstitutional world view out of my countries capitol.

Repeat after me:

Barack Hussein Obama is the most marvelous, literally god-like, fantastically smart, empathetic, visionary cause for hope and change to fundametally remake America into the image he has held and spoken of in his extensive publications of legal briefs and books, his speeches and all his entirely documented social, legal and educational career, being the expert in Constitutional Law and the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the United States of America. Furthermore, as a citizen of the world, he leads the way to his perfectly clear truth and lightbearing way of being the leading citizen of not only not a Christian nation as the leader of the United States, but also of one of the largest Muslim nations of the world.

Once more, with FEELING.

Louder.

There will be a test.

“If anybody can give me an easy, 30-second solution to this multitrillion-dollar problem, be my guest,”

Simple: it's not your problem.

When I needed heart surgery, it was my problem because I needed it, my doctor's problem because he diagnosed & arranged treatment for it, and my insurance company's problem because they agreed to pick up the tab on the bet they wouldn't have to. Mr. Snowe, it wasn't your problem, and it wasn't the government's problem - and it still isn't, so stay out of my medical life.

Oh please chosen one, make it clear, and simple for me. For I am a simpleton, who is incapable of clear thinking on my own.

Hey as a professional educator paid in part by student tuition, if the student’s don’t get it, guess whose is at fault? Not them. We pay Zero’s salary.

If Zero had a publically-acceptable plan and could explain it, he wins. But under the present circumstances, either the plan stinks or he is a failure at explaining it.

Socialism is just what I am thinking of this President and his Opinion on Gov’t control......over our country...
Wake up PEOPLE... This IS AMERICA.... We have choices, we have the ability to be better or try to get better... If the Gov’t makes a so called Eutopia...... We will all be worth what the next guy is... EVEN if the next guy is an idiot drug dealer or a lazy SOB that just sits around waiting for the next gov’t CHECK... That’s right Gov’t kinda keeps ya down no higher bar to try to get to in Gov’t Eutopia... Hmmmmm then let me see Dictatorship arrives...

Well, Snowe, I'll tell you what won't work: borrowing and taxing trillions more to add to the trillions already facing us. Common sense Snowe, you should try it sometimes.
