Common DNA Sequences: Evidence of Evolution or Efficient Design? (apoptosis section fascinating!)
Acts & Facts ^ | August 2009 | Jeffrey Tomkins, Ph.D.

Posted on 08/01/2009 7:57:05 AM PDT by GodGunsGuts

With the advent of modern biotechnology, researchers have been able to determine the actual sequence of the roughly three billion bases of DNA (A,T,C,G) that make up the human genome. They have sequenced the genomes of many other types of creatures as well. Scientists have tried to use this new DNA data to find similarities in the DNA sequences of creatures that are supposedly related through evolutionary descent, but do genetic similarities provide evidence for evolution?...

“The greatest number of suicide bombers come from the revolutionary wing of the Temple of Darwin. Ever hear of the Tamil Tigers?”

—From everything I’ve been able to find it looks like what drove the TLLE was Tamil nationalism. The Tamils are mostly Hindu with a large Christian minority and were anti-Buddhist, anti-Muslim, and anti-Sinhalese. I have no idea what their feelings were on Darwin, I can’t find anything that mentions it. They were fighting the Sinhalese who are almost exclusively of an atheist Buddhist sect. So, actually, it looks like it was a bunch of Hindus and Christians suicide bombing atheists.
(Not that any of this is relevant to anything).

I found no middle initial in his ICR posts - I could only assume. My bad - the problem with most PhD ICR writers is that they frequently use pseudonyms. Did you find any background?

"I think they are jihadist like yourself in belief."

No one in this thread is a "Jihadist" of any sort. Such name-calling is as bad as GodGunsGuts "Temple of Darwin" nonsense.

he is a geneticist who actually practices genetics.

LOL, give me the link to his dissertation, and the accredited school he did his graduate work and post graduated work.

I cannot find him listed on their website - probably a staff article. Oddly, there are Jeffrey Tomkins articles that are very likely not either Jeffrey or Jeffrey P. that are also in the field of genetics.

Still, if are we to represent science, rationality, and logic, we must stick to the facts, and the facts alone.

Unimpressive is the demand that everything is just because...

random...

unintelligent...

uncaused...

undesigned...

without guided purpose...

just because...

Yup...in typical liberal fashion investigate a person’s background if they dare say something you don’t agree with...ala Joe the plumber, Sara Palin...etc. etc. etc.

* Dr. Tomkins is Research Associate at the Institute for Creation Research.

This is from a foot note on some bogus story going back to 2003.

I've often wondered how it is that people who believe in an omnipotent Creator are able to rule out the possibility that that same Creator fashioned the universe to be consistent with an alternate explanation as a test of faith. Where is the necessity that "evolution" must be disprovable by evidence created by God?

Sorry gents, the Tamil Tigers come squarely from the revolutionary evolutionist wing of the Temple of Darwin:

“The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism Suicide terrorism is rising around the world, but the most common explanations do not help us understand why. Religious fanaticism does not explain why the world leader in suicide terrorism is the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, a group that adheres to a Marxist/Leninist ideology...”

http://www.allacademic.com/meta/p_mla_apa_research_citation/0/7/3/9/2/p73929_index.html

The vast majority of Hezbollah suicide bombers also come from the revolutionary evolutionist wing of the Temple of Darwin:

“In writing my book on suicide attackers, I had researchers scour Lebanese sources to collect martyr videos, pictures and testimonials and the biographies of the Hezbollah bombers. Of the 41, we identified the names, birth places and other personal data for 38. Shockingly, only eight were Islamic fundamentalists. Twenty-seven were from leftist political groups like the Lebanese Communist Party and the Arab Socialist Union...”

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/03/opinion/03pape.html?_r=2&pagewanted=print&oref=login

Indeed, the PLO terrorists also came from the revolutionary evolutionist wing of the Temple of Darwin:

“The main KGB asset in this joint venture was a “devoted Marxist-Leninist”—Yasser Arafat, co-founder of Fatah, the Palestinian military force.”

http://www.mideasttruth.com/wsj8.html

And again, let’s not forget the hundreds of millions of innocent people the revolutionary evolutionist wing of the Temple of Darwin has murdered in in places like the Soviet Union, Red China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Cuba, etc, etc.

—Was there something in your post or in one of the links that was supposed to link any of these groups to Darwinism?

Exactly! Can’t answer a question, yet accuses other of not answering a question. Throws out personal attacks on the good doctor; yet, claims I’m doing it. Meanwhile, an idiot could research the good doctor’s qualifications and degree.

And not to overlook the jealousy and anger issues that are obvious.

Dr. Crick who won the nobel prize for elucidation of the DNA molecule along with Dr. James Watson was an athiest initially. But before he died he admitted that the DNA molecule had to have been created by a Supreme Being.
