I’m trying to get inside Ann/Stanley’s mom’s head. Why would she announce grandson Barack’s birth in the Hawaii newspaper? Was she trying to legitimize and Americanize it in some way? That’s assuming she adhered to early 1960s mores which, although inching toward liberal, were still often quite traditional. I graduated from a public high school in Orlando in 1969, and out-of-wedlock pregnancy was still a hushed, shameful event. I wonder what her parents thought about her global cavorting and loose lifestyle?

Port of entry. They had this big news, they had port of entry documents showing his mom returning from Kenya. They were supposedly on the hands of their attorney in Seattle, a guy name Pidgeon. It was all a like. Fool me once......... you know the rest.
Why not just give a call to the Mormon Geneaology people? Maybe they have a microfilm of all the birth records from everywhere.
Obama will stonewall this completely, and nobody I suspect will approach him with this. I do think that many people from all across America can accept this as a document that could give them a momentum that they have been wishing for.
Like servicemen, on their off time they hear about this from a friend or email, they tell others, and eventually the news of it will rocket up the chain of command faster than the speed of sound.

Views were divided as to whether the coastal strip should be treated as a single entity with Kenya Colony, or whether it should be handed back to the Sultan of Zanzibar or it be treated as an independent entity and declared Independent.
In a report submitted to the British Government and the Sultan of Zanzibar entitled ‘The Kenya Coastal Strip Ð Report by the Commissioner’ Mr. Robertson recommended that the coastal strip be incorporated into Kenya before self government and independence subject to certain safeguards being given to the coastal people which should be entrenched in the constitution.

Robertson further recommended that the British Government abrogate the 1895 Agreement with the Sultan of Zanzibar and that another Agreement be made between the Government of Kenya and the Sultan of Zanzibar whereby the Sultan of Zanzibar will surrender his Sovereignty claims over the Coastal strip in consideration of the Kenya Government undertaking to respect and safeguarding inter alia the maintenance of the Sharia Law for Muslims and the retention of the Kadhi’s Courts.

It is therefore necessary to recognize Islamic Law as one of the sources of the law in Kenya and for the same to be taught at universities and in the Kenya School of Law.

It appears the "Ten-Mile Strip" (where Obama's possible place of birth is located) was separate and seemingly sovereign from the county that WOULD eventually BECOME the "Republic of Kenya" -- at least for a short while in 1963 and 1964.

***Occham’s Razor would dictate that the simplest explanation is the valid one. Anyone who goes to this much length would have better spent their resources on more productive issues.
About Obama’s Kenyan grandma who claims to have been present at his birth—how far did she have to travel from her (presumed)village to that hospital? Maybe she was asked to be present since no other female relatives of the unborn baby could be there, particularly if the young Ann was sort of temporarily “trapped” in a foreign country with no other connections.
