Sorry; I was looking at a distorted version of the document. You are correct; it's 1964, not 1984. Someone wanted a copy of the birth record for some reason or another; perhaps to get a passport?

But why not release this during the primaries? That’s the mystery.

all he has to say is he never knew. this is what his mom and grand parents told him. get that from him and a resignation and be happy.

Clearly- there is MUCH that is NOT known. It is possible that the Kenyan bc that was the subject of the phone conversation you refer to is not authentic. This one may not be either- but we continue to dig, research and hunt.

As I understand it, Hawaiian policy allowed any adult to attest to someone having been born in Hawaii—no hospital report or verification required. If so, one of Obama’s relatives could have done so to slip him in as an American citizen and the Democrat operatives in the office could accurately say his vital documents on file state that he was born there.

No, because Kenya FILED for independence in 1963. It just wasn’t ratified until 1964.
It was certified as a “TRUE COPY” by the signing official. Therefore it is not the original BC

The document isn't from Hawaii. It's from Kenya. It appears to be a standard Kenyan document. The Hawaiian COLB would more likely be the acknowledging document you're referring to.
