Her “ya’s” show she is down to earth, but, at least to my generation, leadership requires s mature dignity, a reassuring calmness, as well as the irreproachable integrity Governor Palin naturally exudes.I agree thatshe would be wise to take down her delivery a few octaves.

Yes; and a few ‘ya’s’ not bad; but they blunt/round her intent; when delivering a blow. The impace is muted/softened by a ‘ya’ whether before - or after - she lands it. Open vowels do that.

palins folksy you betchas come off as forced and ungeniuine... it will do her well to modify her speech patterns to sound more sophisticated while keeping her hometown values...
