Will 'Better Science Education' Convince Americans They Came from Fish?

A recent poll revealed that many Americans believe public school students should be taught all sides of Darwin’s theory of evolution, its weaknesses as well as its strengths.[1] Evolutionists, in the face of this data, reason that if only the American public had more “education” on evolution, the poll numbers would reflect in their favor...

Darwinism has been the prevailing orthodoxy in schooling for decades. If Darwinism is the essential element of “good science education,” then why are American students’ results so poor compared to the rest of the world’s?

Actually, you are wrong! American students compare quite above the rest of the world. The countries that rank above the US happen to focus more on evolution than the US. The ones ranked below, tend to focus more on creationism. Your false posting won't change the facts.

You: What possible concern is that of yours and why is it relevant to the creation/evolution debates or the topic of this thread?

Are there people on this thread the really do no believe Catholics are Christians?

Because evolution says that God did not do that.

Where does evolution say that. You have been brain-washed. Evolution does not say that.

Well, in short, no. Because Christianity, for instance, posits certain undeniable physical historical realities: Christ really was born of a virgin,

And you verified this how?

Yes, there are. Episcopalians, too.

I am being told by another that there are some that say that Catholics are not Christians and that these same people are allies with the ID movement that says God may be dead?

Why are you asking me? I don't go around asking people that question and I really don't care what their opinion is.

Just trying to find out who the players are. ID is GOOD because they believe that man evolved over billions of years with God's influence. Catholism is BAD because they believe that man evolved over billions of years with God's influence?

ALL Believers in Christ are Christians. We humans are the ones making the distinctions! You are speaking like you don't accept God's Word for things...

Galatians 3: ... 23 Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. 24 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.

26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Why do you make this up. Nothing in my post can be inferred to mean this.

You questioned whether Catholics can be Christians. You are trolling. You are full of yourself. What else would you like to know?

I am not Catholic. I am a Christian, a member of Christ's catholic church. Not all people who go to any "your brand name here" church are not necessarily Christians, but all Christians believe in the virgin birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and look forward to eternal life with Him...

John 3: 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Why is that my problem that you keep pinging me about it?

Grow up and figure it out yourself.

I’m not playing your little sectarian division game.

I DID NOT question whether Catholics can be Christians. You are full of yourself. I, unlike several other creo's on this board, fully believe that Catholics are Christians. In fact, a creo recently (sarcastically) referred to a Catholic here as my 'buddy'.

That’s not the division part and you know it. It’s the pitting of one who says “yes” against one who says “no”.

You’re not fooling anyone.

Public education is a product of government. As such, and owing to the fact that the government is precluded from religious advocacy, all that can be legitimately taught are the paradigms that guide and define academic thought. This includes the Theory of Evolution.
