Tsongas stated the abortion would not be covered under the proposed plan because of the Hyde Amendment prohibiting the use of public funds for the procedure. She also stated that illegal aliens would not be covered. Many reports on the proposed plan say otherwise. 800 people showed up for the meeting but only 400 were allowed in the hall.
No where in the bill does it say that abortion is not covered. When Republicans tried to attached an amendment to the bill to make sure abortions weren't covered RATS refused to allow it. That means it is up to the government to interpret the language for themselves. I think we all know how that will turn out.
There is also nothing to stop illegals from being covered as the bill is written now.
This is how they are getting by with saying abortions and illegals aren't covered NOW. That's because the way the bill is written NOTHING is allowed or disallowed. That will be decided by the GOVERNMENT once the bill is passed.
We aren't as stupid as they think! If this bill is passed it will be up to the OBAMA TEAM to decide the details of the plan. If that isn't scary nothing is!
I don't want the OBAMA TEAM running my bath water much less MY LIFE especially after they can't even run 'cash for clunkers', the car companies, create just ONE JOB, banks, etc.
I would rather Obama stick to picking out dogs for his kids! It only took him six months to find one. That should keep him busy for the rest of his term.
Apparently they couldn’t get the thugs to help in MA, oh yeah it is saturday the union don’t do weekends :-)They did have some plants but they didn’t help much.

Well KNOW illegal aliens will be covered. The will not have coverage under the bill but will be allowed full emergency room coverage [as they do now].
Illegal aliens now bog down emergency rooms in California. They use it as their primary care. The go to the emergency room for sniffles and simple aliments. It has driven CA to the point of bankruptcy.
