I should have said, “If they needed his vote, he would have voted for it. We need to get rid of everyone of these Dems including the so called “blue dogs.”

I just saw that he voted against the bill.

This is taken from his website...

Friday, 06 November 2009 15:00
Washington, DC - Congressman John Adler today released the following statement announcing that he will vote no on H.R 3962, the new House health care reform bill.

"The House health care bill, unveiled last week, does not do enough to contain costs, or protect small businesses, seniors, taxpayers, and middle class families. Since June, I have consistently expressed my serious reservations about the House proposal. While this new version of the bill is a step in the right direction, I am not satisfied that it curbs costs and keeps health care affordable in the long term.

"Congress should not pass a bill that costs more than $1 trillion dollars. Health care costs are rising faster than wages and inflation, and this bill does not change this trend. We must do more to ease health care costs for hard-working American families. In addition, we need to increase efforts to cut waste, fraud, and abuse from the system.

"If health care reform does not bend the cost curve and reduce waste and fraud, then we are not fixing the problem. We are simply pushing the cost onto future generations."

Since January, Congressman John Adler has hosted more than 60 town hall and open community events. Congressman Adler has heard from local residents, answered questions, and shared his concerns and ideas surrounding health care reform.

Is Congressman Adler one of those who has stiff competition coming up next time he’s up for re-election? And is he up for re-election in 2010?

We know what Pelosi did last night. She let just enough RATS vote NO to get the thing passed and still salvage the careers of those Congressmen who are walking on thin ice in their districts. AND be able to say “look how bi-partisan we are”. Win/win for Pelosi and the RATS.

At any rate, i don’t care why he’s doing it, but i’m glad he’s doing it. If he does it. We’ll see.

Yes, he’s up for re-election in 2010.

He is well funded. Despite his vote against this latest bill, I look forward to supporting a conservative candidate, should any choose to run against him.

I hope a conservative does run against him. By any chance is his a conservative district? Otherwise, why would he bother to vote against the bill unless he was pandering to his base? I don’t know the man, but he is a politician and getting reelected trumps personal convictions. So i’m supposing he’s not voting no out of principal, no matter what his press release claimed. And if you’re “a RAT in the House”, you do what Pelosi tells you to do.

By any chance is his a conservative district?

In 2008 he outraised the republican opponent 3:1. He won by 4 points. Camden County is dem heavy, but his distict (House District 3) leans slightly republican.

I like that he voted against this bill, but I intend to support and donate to a conservative candidate in the next election.

Follow up- Adler did as he said he would and voted against the bill. However, if/when the opportunity arises, I will still vote against him in favor of a conservative Republican.
