I don’t shop at whole foods, but not b/c of the prices. The place drips with liberal condescension, at least where I live, and I get dirty looks when I pull in driving our Surburban. Plus, they don’t have a lot of local products that I absolutely cannot live without.

I agree. They will not hurt Whole Foods.

Hey, I would rather shop at Trader Joes. Half the price and most stuff organic (if that matters to you), and there is two buck Chuck.

In a pinch, which is to say when the “extra partheno” oil from that nuns’ monastery outside our village runs out, try DIVINA from Crete or Iliada from the Queen City of oil, Kalamata.

I look forward to the 120 mile drive to the nearest Whole Foods to me to express my support with buying power. I’m glad he spoke out.

I hated shopping at Whole Foods as it looked like most folks in there took to heart the recommendation to use only one sheet of toilet paper.

Eh, I may go back now. :-)

People who shop at Whole Foods have no right to complain about the cost of ANYTHING, including health care.

I shop there from time to time and they actually don't cost that much more than any place else.

“Am I to take your post literally? I shop at Whole Foods, and yes I do have the right. “

I went there this week. Good food. An I will B!TCH about the cost of Government all I want. Guaranteed right under our constitutional government.

Since a lot of democrats as well as Republicans are losing their butts financially; does it matter?

In the sense that the effort to punish a principled statement opposing obamacare fizzled, I would say yes.

Obamanauts say they have to boycott Whole Foods because the cost of health care is too high, and Whole Foods is standing in the way of socialized medicine, which will make health care "affordable".

Yet, those same people are paying $18 a pound for organic grass fed beef, when they could buy cheapo hamburger from Wal-Mart for 88 cents.

Maybe the numbers are off, but Whole Foods is pricier and higher quality than bargain basement grocery stores.

Our health care system costs a little bit more than others, and is much higher quality.

When they're talking food, these people are perfectly willing to pay a little more to get a little more. They want choice, variety and selection. When they're talking health care, they want the government to control everyone's lives, ostensibly to "cut costs".

You have every right to determine what you will put in your body and how much you are willing to pay for it. The Obamanuts are trying to take away that same right when it comes to the medical treatment of your body.

They claim this is to "cut costs". But if all they cared about is "cost cutting", they wouldn't shop at Whole Foods.

The shoppers at my whole foods store look pretty normal. Most of the employees do too, although a few look a little dubious. Since they are generally younger than the customers, I guess that should not be too surprising.

Well, the cops didn’t jump out of the bushes like they do at DUmmieland, so maybe the concrete pillar did?

Typical communist indoctrinated dumbasses.

Lets kill a company that employs 50,000 people and pays all of their healthcare premiums.

Why? because Whole Foods owner doesn’t like communism.

Someday these idiots who went to college are going to be on the shit end of their thinking. It will be too damn late.

Link: Their starting wage is $10 an hour - compared with the US minimum of $7.25 - and they also get free health insurance and significant profit share. Last year, Mr Mackey wrote a letter to all of his staff announcing that he would reduce his own salary to $1 a year, sell his stock portfolio to charity and set up a $100,000 emergency fund for staff facing personal problems. He wrote: "I am now 53 years old and I have reached a place in my life where I no longer want to work for money, but simply for the joy of the work itself and to better answer the call to service that I feel so clearly in my own heart."
