BOSTON - Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, the liberal lion of the Senate and haunted bearer of the Camelot torch after two of his brothers fell to assassins' bullets, has died at his home in Hyannis Port after battling a brain tumor. He was 77.
For nearly a half-century in the Senate, Kennedy was a steadfast champion of the working class and the poor, a powerful voice on health care, civil rights, and war and peace. To the American public, though, he was best known as the last surviving son of America's most glamorous political family, the eulogist of a clan shattered again and again by tragedy.
His family announced his death in a brief statement released early Wednesday.
"We've lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism, and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever," the statement said. "We thank everyone who gave him care and support over this last year, and everyone who stood with him for so many years in his tireless march for progress toward justice, fairness and opportunity for all."

Socialism hasnt worked in 6,000 years of recorded history because it didnt have me to run it. - Ted KennedyAnd despite all his efforts to the contrary, it never worked in America either. Even with him as the Jackal of the Senate trying his best to implement it. May God have mercy on his soul...but we are better as a nation with him permanenetly out of that position of power and influence.
Now we have Barrack Hussein Obama and his ilk, who will surely try to use the death of this old, corrupt man, to push through the biggest socialization effort in American history - ObamaCare.
We cannot let it happen. Stand firm, speak out, lean into their storm of word and ideologies...and push them back.

...and on the lighter side, take your mind off the Obamanation for a few minutes and enjoy some beautiful Western US scenery slideshows.
I pray that he had time to repent before he went to meet the Almighty Father and Judge face to face.
May God be with his family in their time of grief.
At last!!!!!!!
Mary Jo will get her justice!!!!!!!!!!!!
If there is no God, how do the love and justice scales balance.
I have long expected this day. I think I’ve even joked in the past that Jim Robinson would have to bring in extra staff to delete the mean comments regarding Teddy’s death.
I guess JR couldn’t find anyone.

I hope he wasn't haunted by his brothers' deaths, that he found peace with those tragedies. However, I fervently hope he was haunted every day for the last 40 years by Mary Jo Kopechne.
He’s right, the oldest and the first “anointed to be president” brother Joe Jr. was killed during WWII.

...so God is beholden to the spiritually dead sinner to forgive him, without any word of the blood of Jesus shed at the cross nor of the His life, death, burial and resurrection, but only because he ‘seeks’ Him? Surely it is only of the free mercies of our Father in the work of Christ at the cross, and in His death burial and resurrection that God forgives anyone, ‘...by grace are we saved through faith and this is NOT OF OURSELVES...’, it is the free gift of God apart from any man’s works, lest any man should boast. Man has no ‘free-will’ to seek after God, man is spiritually dead in their sins, born dead in sins, Ephesians 2:1-5,Romans 3:10-18 just like the first man Adam-being born in his likeness (his nature-dead in sin). Apart from the mercy of God through the shed blood of His only begotten Son-Jesus Christ at the cross, and the life quickening Holy Spirit acting upon one of God’s elect through the preaching of the gospel, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, because it is the will of God John 1:13, not man’s will, does anyone ever begin to seek after God, after God has changed that man’s nature first.
Romans 3:10-12 is a quote from Psalms 14:1-3: “1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good. 2 The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God. 3 They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.”
Remember Paul Wellstone's funeral? That should give you a good look into the left's real opinions. This will be used as a reason to push for a MONUMENT to Senator Swimmer, a wholesale takeover of the health industry and our lives...
Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. Nobody has to agree!
RIP? No, I wish him no better than any other socialist POS past or present. His family was one of criminal politicians who would screw the Constitution and the Republic to the wall for political gain. Their father and grandfather bought and paid for the rise of the family myth and political power and the father was removed as ambassador to England because of his strong Nazi sympathies. I would not mourn an Amedinijad or a Chavez any more than I will the killer whale. The Constitution and the Republic is a little safer today and hopefully the Kennedy myth will finally go away.
Unintended irony?
“Personally, Im glad the son of a bitch is dead.”
Me too. How long before there is a push to rename Washington to Teddyville?
There are mistakes we all make in life. Let God carry out the judgement.
As for my fellow countrymen who claim to be so overjoyed at the death of another human being may I remind you that judgement isn’t just reserved to the Kennedy’s. We all have to stand before the seat of judgement and in that time you will be weighed on your deeds and your words. You may disagree with the man on his politics and on other issues, but that is not a good reason to rejoice at the death of another human being.
