You know it is bad when even Leon Panetta is resigning.

Of course. This has nothing to do with the CIA being persecuted and targeted for the convenience of terrorists. He simply wants to spend more time with his family.

He is probably powerless and stuck in the middle. The CIA people probably see him as an Obama stooge, and on the other side, he probably has to take ridiculous marching orders from Rahm Emmanuel. Who would want that?

Resigning would be an appropriate thing to do and he would deserve respect for doing it.
Panetta is not part of the far left radical cabal that runs Obama. He is a career Democrat hack with genuine credentials.
He might better serve his country by staying put and doing what he can from there to stop Obama’s attack on America.
To: JerseyRepub
I don’t see a current cause for it, but I expect Hillary to resign too. I think Obama is good at creating uncomfortable situations and then throwing people under the bus. Smart people can see that coming and try to get out before things get totally bad. Done right, you can even look like you have principles.

This would be a HUGE embarassment for Obama despite all media attempts to claim its simply for “personal reasons”.
The scary thing is: who will Obama pick to replace Panetta? it would have to be somebody who agrees with the investigation of the interrogators!
To: JerseyRepub
He is fighting the investigations of the CIA. Who’da thunk a Clintonista had a conscience..?

Now let's see Hillary resign, announce she's selling the house in Chappaqua and moving to Massachussetts, say that her mentor Daniel Moynihan got his start in JFK's administration and passed on his love of all things Massachusetts to her, and that she's going to run for Ted Kennedy's seat in the Senate.

I’ve been thinking that Hillary is too quiet and has been plotting her revenge. I make a bet that she will force a primary against Zero in 2012 after resigning in feigned indignation as SOS.

I will give him credit for not falling on his sword or taking one for the Obama team. This is a case of the CIA going to become a political slaughterhouse to make the left look good, and a director willing to take blame is a must. This doesn't help Obama.
