To: Stand Watch Listen
I get a kick out of how Barnes and Noble employees always construct an enormous pyramid of a new release just inside their front door ONLY IF THE AUTHOR IS LIBERAL.
I don't even try to engage the employees; at the age of 21 I thought I knew everything, too.

When perusing the local book franchises, I sometimes turn the Libs' offerings backwards... subsequently make a pyramid of Conservatives’ offering by the doorway.
If I'm lucky, I get to watch the staff go in a panic and rearrange my ‘work’.

at the age of 21 I thought I knew everything, too. As did I. But you can truly believe me when I say I knew a hell of a lot more than the average 21 YO now.
I could and liked to read. I had access to much more honest and accurate material than now. I was taught extensive history and civics. I was also raised by intelligent parents that gave a damn about real education. And from the beginning I was taught to think for myself.
Yeah, I was cocky, knew it all. But....I did know how to think for myself.
