Over the past few weeks, false claims surrounding health care reform have ricocheted across the countryonline, on television and radio, and (loudly) at town hall meetings. Sadly, health reform opponents are propagating bogus information that preys on senior citizens worst fears, not only to push them to oppose health care reform, but to cast doubt on the Obama administrations commitment to the welfare of older Americans.

NEA knows that quality health care is essential to keeping the nations educators, students, and retirees active and prepared for learning, teaching, and mentoring. The Associations vision of a successful health care reform package would make quality, affordable health care coverage a reality for every person in America.

From the comments on the National Education Association website, it sounds like in the original, Amanda Litvinov mentioned Sarah Palin and others, then edited their names out.
Loved the comments over there. For those who were unsure if all those bad things they’ve heard about the NEA were true, this will leave no doubt: They are not only true, it’s worse than they thought.
Thanks. I will be emailing that.
My bottom line is that I dont want the insurance and pharmaceutical companies to win again, like they did with Medicare Part D, says Matteson. Seniors should read as much as they can to stay informed.
I’d like to know what MATTESON has been reading. An informed person would learn:
Compared to original budget estimates for Medicare Part D, ten-year costs now are projected to be 38.5% lower than originally planned (http://www.cms.hhs.gov/apps/media/press/release.asp?counter=2868).
85% of this cost reduction has been attributed to a direct result of competition and significantly lower Part D plan bids (http://www.cms.hhs.gov/apps/media/press/release.asp?Counter=2079&intNumPerPage=10&checkDate=&checkKey=&srchType=&numDays=3500&srchOpt=0&srchData=&keywordType=All&chkNewsType=1%2C+2%2C+3%2C+4%2C+5&intPage=&showAll=&pYear=&year=&desc=&cboOrder=date)
Sounds like a win for seniors AND taxpayers to me!
The Nazi's had lots of liars too.
NEA apparently got no stimulus and their pay to play was ‘public option’. They need America’s children on a leash to maintain their fitness to survive. This bunch is not fit to train rats let alone have access to America’s children.
I have seen first hand what their methods have done to inner city children and I consider it criminal.
If so, how can they continue to politicize and still maintain their tax exempt status?
Does anyone out there know how to find out or to make a complaint?
What an eye-opener. I bookmarked the site to get an adnaced read as to what crap they ae going to try to intriduce in to the classroom. ‘The NEA backs healthcare reform legislation????’ Check through their “Issues and action” section.
I was just checking out the enemy’s website (NEA.org) and was shocked to find this crap on the website for educators. WTH does this have to do with teachers?
My wife is a retired teacher and a former member of the NEA. Ive batteled these liberal cretins for years. Theyre not necessarily for socialized medicine, though certainly a good unnmber of their members are, theyre just like most unions in that theyre a tool of the democRATs. They scratch each others’ backs.
