The national flag of the People's Republic of China (PRC) will be hoisted at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on September 20, media reported Sunday.

Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC.

Chen Ronghua, chairman of Fujian Association of the United States, told reporters that their application was approved not only because of the sound Sino-US relations but also because China is a responsible country.

Ahhh!! Obama’s government is giving full approval of China’s denying citizens of civil rights, ie. long prison terms for opposing the government and in many instances death sentences. How soon we forget the slaughter of Chinese by the Army in Tianeman Square.

No flag may be hoisted higher than the American flag under any circumstances. Let’s see what happens. This man is power crazy.

Last time I checked, the American flag still flys over the White House. This china flag thing is another push by our unAmerican president. What’s next there barry, going to hoist the pepsi, yes we can, flag?

WHO IS STOPPING HIM?

Is this normal practice at the WH? Do other countries hoist their flags too? Or is the Chinese flag being treated differently? If it’s a normal practice (as long as it’s NOT higher than the gool ol’ Stars and Stripes) as part of diplomatic meetings, then fine. If not, then this needs to be stopped before it happens!

Anyone on free republic who knows the flag protocol at the WH?

Why would they celebrate the 60th founding of the People’s Republic of China? I would think it’s a dishonor to Chinese Americans who fought to get out of the communist state. Considering we’re becoming a communist state, I guess it’s all in ‘the plan’ for 0bama. Next, the Nazi flag will fly above all of them.

OUCH! In regards to their being a fiscally responsible country... They are also responsible for many other things throughout their short 60 year history. For starts, turning their entire country into a prison camp with secure borders designed to keep people from leaving. Then there are the millions of Chinese that were slaughtered for the crime of not being able to understand the teaching's of Chairman Mao and his little red book. What color is your little book going to be Obama?

Responsible for murder, torture, imprisonment of innocents, abortion, and organ harvesting. Among other vile things.

OH crap, your post made me think. China has a big pile of our debt. geithner went to china a while back to affirm our solvency and was outright laughed at. And our ecomony is not turning around. Looks like ozero is sucking up to our largest debter to keep them from calling in their debt. I’d bet that george soros is about to be replaced by the chinese as ozero’s puppetmaster.

Oh really?
Isn't it in fact also by default 'celebrating' the 40,000,000 people Mao killed? And 'celebrating' Mao's "Cultural Revolution"? During which Mao said,
""People who try to commit suicide — don't attempt to save them! . . . China is such a populous nation, it is not as if we cannot do without a few people."

Yeah, 60 years of Communism and the MILLIONS of deaths which always follow - gee, what's not to celebrate?!?

I want a recount -- of Obama's IQ test scores!

When your landlord makes a request, it takes balls to say no. We already know that our Whitehouse has no balls.
