I’m ecstatic that Beck took Jones down. Over at Huffypo, Arianna thanked him, too and said that now Jones could do real work out in the real world, not behind a desk in the WH. I can’t wait. Bring on the wackos. Keith Olbermann’s head exploded.

I am disappointed in party leadership for not focusing on these czars. Back at around 20 of em’ BYRD wrote a cautionary letter to the White House. We should be bashing this issue like drunken drummers with garbage can lids.

Awesome! HOLDREN!!!! I sent Glenn my blog this weekend.

Here it is:

“The science is Settled”

Today, I am going to write of controversial things. In the great laboratory of the world, we REALLY need to keep our eyes on the petrie dishes. It’s only tiny, sometimes microscopic, goo that festers there. We know, however, that the consequences both positive and negative of these substances can be cataclysmic.

Something there could cure the disease. Something there could BE the disease.

A lot of folks think that Glenn Beck is the disease. I’ll admit that right now...Glenn Beck has my ear. He has earned it. Yep, he’s histrionic and emotional. He’s said some things I’m not sure that I agree with. But he’s the ONLY ONE talking about some OTHER things.

It would seem extreme to say that Obama appointed someone who is a communist and started an organization called Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM). It would come off as ridiculous to say that someone close to the administration has said that white people deliberately poison black people in America, that he supports an activist cop-killer and that he believes 9/11 was preventable and deliberately ignored. In short, a racist and radical truther.

But now, Van Jones, who was exposed by evidence on tape and online...is that guy. Obama’s “green jobs” czar.

It would seem like a right-wing attack machine came after him, except that he was really IGNORED in the media. After Beck questioned Jones’ background a group called “Color of Change”...a group started and supported by Van Jones, launched a campaign calling for advertiser boycott of Beck.

Once the rest of Jones’ history came out our jaws dropped lower and lower and finally now, Jones has quit.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to know about the history of the rest of Obama’s 30-plus “czars”. The left argues that other presidents had czars...but we were talking four or five...not 30+. Even Robert Byrd (D-West Virginia) has written a letter to the administration questioning the constitutionality of the existence of these unvetted advisors to the White House. How many radicals are in the petrie dish?

Would you believe one of them advocated forced sterilization of women, de-emphasing the importance of marriage, taking babies from unproductive parents and giving them to productive parents, putting birth control in the water supply, a comprehensive Plenetary Regime that could control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of all natural resources, renewable or nonrenewable?

Oh, that’s John Holdren. Obama’s science advisor.

Really, it is. He co-authored a textbook for U Cal Berkeley that advocated these things as necessary to control an inevitable population explosion that would be unsustainable. And Glenn Beck is unhinged?

Apparently, Holdren doesn’t advocate them now. Back in the late seventies was a different time, we are told. They HAD to consider these totalitarian measures because there was going to be a population explosion that the world couldn’t support. But they were wrong.

Turns out the petrie dish WASN’T overcrowded.

But I’ll bet you that back then, “The science was settled.” And I ask you, for the love of God, what kind of chicken-littles sat in a classroom at Berkeley, read about these measures and thought, “Yes, this is SOUND science and policy?” You were on the cutting edge of fascism.

One night last week Letterman had Holdren on his show. I tuned in for the first couple of minutes of the interview. I don’t watch Dave anymore because he has become a crochety partisan. Once Holdren was in the chair, Dave, in a voice reminiscent of a second grade teacher asked something like, “Explain why it is important for the president to have a SCIENCE advisor...”

And I clicked off. Patronizing git. My problem’s not with a science advisor, it’s with the possibility that a FAILED scientist with radical leanings has the president’s ear. I understand that there was a “crisis” in the late 70’s.

Are you going to try to tell me that there’s no “crisis” now? Remember, the science is settled.

Pray tell, WHAT kind of agenda might a new scientist have in this age of global warming? Oh, that’s right:

John Holdren told The Associated Press in his first interview since being confirmed last month that the idea of geoengineering the climate is being discussed. One such extreme option includes shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays. Holdren said such an experimental measure would only be used as a last resort.

This man sounds reasonable and stable. Why be concerned? After all, the science is settled. It’s just that the things the scientists say are so unsettling.

I’m sure that putting pollution in space couldn’t possibly be an alarmist reaction that might backfire in an epic fashion!

So, pour yourselves a cold glass of water without birth control in it and please...

Keep your eyes on the petrie dishes, guys.
