WASHINGTON (AP) - In retrospect, President Barack Obama now says, he should have offered more details about health care proposals a few months ago, rather than give critics all summer to criticize them, often with baseless claims.

Such missed opportunities are one reason for Obama's prime-time speech to Congress Wednesday night in which he hopes to salvage his top domestic priority. The summer was marked by several risks and dubious decisions that have forced the high-stakes speech.

Obama is such an amateur, he never had the details.
He was relying on his charm and teleprompter to get him through this.

So there are eight different pieces of legislation on this subject running around.

This time, so the story went, Obama was going to offer less details.

Their strategy was better revealed today that Barkys plan was to pass legislation that was as vague as possible, so that Health Czars could sweep in and “regulate” the details as they saw fit.

There were however unlimited references to commissions, committees and other decision panels on every aspect of the on-going running of the operation.
