Rep. Joe Wilson Speaks Publicly For the First Time After Shouting "You Lie" at the President
Joe Wilson Doesnt Back Down After Apologizing & Explains Why He Doesnt Support The Health Reform Dems Want
Video at link.
I did the same thing — thanks for posting the link.
“the leadership wanted me to contact the White House”...”my statements were inappropriate”...”which I did”.
Who knows what he said, exactly? I don’t take this as apologizing for calling BHO a liar. He could have simply said it was an inappropriate time and place and apologized for being disrespectful, or whatever...
What he did was a very brave and a very good thing...
It will be difficult to include health care for illegals after this controversy.
Cong Wilson handled it extremely well IMHO. He has class versus the classless ZERO who lied.
When will Democrats apologize for hissing at George Bush??
bttt
This is absolutely NO time for real Americans to go wobbly! If ANY Deomocrat had done this Bush the NYTimes, HuffPo, and everyone else would be hailing that Democrat as a hero who spoke the truth to power.
thats what I think. He apologized for lack of civility, not the context of the message.
Any Republican that condemns Rep Wilson’s Moment of Truth represents Washington, not the people.

At first I thought his apology was that it was not the right place, the lack of decorum. Not an apolgy of the two words.
Then again, it is a teachable moment and Joe Wilson should just invite Obama over for a beer and discuss the stupidity.
....And the lies!!!
"Jimmy you apologize to little Bammy right now!"
"OK, Mommy. Bammy, I'm sorry you're an asshole."

At least he brought some attention to the issue!
A new poll of ‘immigrants’ is interesting concerning healthcare....
A Place to Call Home: What Immigrants Say Now
About Life in America
1. Strong majorities of immigrants surveyed said they made the right choice in coming to the United States.
2. Majorities rated the U.S. as better than their birth country for earning a good living (88 percent), having a trusted legal system (70percent),
making good health care available (67 percent)

I tried to post this Cindy Sheehan expose of the Democrats attempt to disrupt a Bush State of the Union speech, but the system rejects links there.
[This afternoon at the People’s State of the Union Address in DC where I was joined by Congresspersons Lynn Woolsey and John Conyers, Ann Wright, Malik Rahim and John Cavanagh, Lynn brought me a ticket to the State of the Union Address. At that time, I was wearing the shirt that said: 2245 Dead. How many more?
After the PSOTU press conference, I was having second thoughts about going to the SOTU at the Capitol. I didn’t feel comfortable going. I knew George Bush would say things that would hurt me and anger me and I knew that I couldn’t disrupt the address because Lynn had given me the ticket and I didn’t want to be disruptive out of respect for her. I, in fact, had given the ticket to John Bruhns who is in Iraq Veterans Against the War. However, Lynn’s office had already called the media and everyone knew I was going to be there so I sucked it up and went. ]
I think this is an important smoking gun link to Democrat hypocracy.
