I am looking for an older Article about Londoners encouraged to not lock their sheds---so criminals would not be injured.

I apologize if I have listed this in the wrong area, but--- I have searched and searched, but I cannot find anything about an old article I think I read here on FreeRepublic. Anyway, I am looking for an older Article about Londoners encouraged to not lock their sheds---so criminals would not be injured. If not London, it was somewhere in Great Britain. Any links or help finding it would be appreciated.

Why of course....I’m doing my part here in America....I don’t keep my 1911 locked up where a burglar can get hurt trying to break into the gunsafe. I keep it loaded under my pillow - just for them.

I incorrectly told my Dad that there were laws (of some sort) in parts of England, in which you had to leave sheds unlocked-—to keep burglars from hurting themselves. I also told him it is almost against the law to defend your family or home from criminals. I’m obviously kind of murky on the legalities.

We don’t lock our sheds where I live, but that doesn’t keep criminals from getting hurt.
