The picture that the state controlled media do not want you to see.
Even some blogger FOX had on this morning said there were only 50,000. Give them a week and they’ll be saying there were only 8 people and two squirrels looking at them funny.
If you read that article, you will see that he numbers of 1.2 to 1,6 mikkion would not be an unreasonable number given the area occupied by the crowd. The key to the estimate is to be accurate in crowd density.
Wow, that’s a lot of bickering evilmongers!
And then a week later just chirping crickets.
The Federal Parks Service does not provide estimates.
I was there and I did see a helicopter appear in the afar (but not too far) a few times (3 or 4) throughout the day. I believe it was the same one each time. I didn’t see any markings. Just seemed like a plain silver/gray helicopter. Couldn’t see it real clear though.
It hovered around way back past the Capitol, a bit past (and fairly high too) past the Washington Monument. But you could tell is was looking down at us because it would stay in the same area for a short time each time I saw it.
And as far as numbers, while I am not a good estimate of crowd numbers, I am not blind. And it was incredible. When me and my daughter tried to get closer to the stage just to be able to see who was talking, it was impossible. No matter which angle we tried. And down EVERY street there was a moving crowd. There was a blanket of people in every direction. And when they cheered, it was thunderous at times.
They can lie about how many was there. But nearly everyone was taking pictures, video, or both back home with them. And even more importantly, everyone in Washington that day (and has access to the truth) knows how many were there.
Thats what I thought, but apparently the do again, look up thread for the article cited.
They stopped when their estimate was much lower than Calypso Louis’ figure.
From the article on Obama’s innaugaration numbers estimate, I would say we may have had 500,000.
The Innaug estimate shows about 250,000 filling just a “ticketed area” triangle on the (I believe West) lawn of the Capitol. On Saturday, we had that plus at least as large a group on the North side and a large number over on the South side. So at least double what the innaugaration had for the area next to the Capitol.
I also think a lot of people did the March and then dispersed when they found there was no more room around teh Capitol. We There were announcements telling people we could not use the Mall, and I have heard from people who did the march but did not stand around teh Capitol all day.
That helps explain in part why the March group on the way down was so enormous.
I think they did it for the Inauguration only. If they did it for this, then perhaps you can provide an official link with their estimate?
Do you seriously think that there is even ONE state that would do that, anymore, on ANY issue?
I’m not asking “should be,” I’m asking “is.”
Yes, based on the pictures from Saturday and the image from USA Today regarding the Inauguration, I think 450k is a credible estimation. I had heard 450k is what FreedomWorks was estimating, but I couldn’t find that on their website. Regardless, I think that number is about right.
Great work. Using The Man’s surveillance assets against him.

Found this, he details this very well, I think. He arrives at 850,000.

BUMP
I don't know if any other cities are doing this, but the town I used to live in is having an ARMED TEA party next month.
Billed as an "Open Carry Tea Party" (in liberal WI we are not allow concealed carry), it will be attended by the Mayor and other local dignitaries.
Yep, that’s EXACTLY where the answer to “Why am I here?” is found.
I was there also and I think the crowd was double your estimate. The line of people marched across the sidewalks and street for about 3 hours. They lined back up to the Reflecting Pond after the march and many were stuck in traffic unable to get in. It was massive.
