I think Mark is bigger than this. There is plenty of room for Rush and Glenn. I also don't get the childishness. Politico probably picked up on it and is going to publicize the back biting.

If it wasn't for Barry Farber and Rush there would be no Hannity, Boortz, Levin and Beck on the national scene. There is no comparison.

My rating of the talk hosts:

1. Rush - I schedule my day around his show

2. Mark Levin - I don't miss him

3. Beck - I try not to miss him, but he can be a little wacky for my taste.

4. Hannity - I don't work hard to be near a radio, He calls too many people his good friend, including the likes of Carville and other really nasty liberals.

He doesn't listen to what his callers are saying, and it makes him look like a superficial clod. My pet peeve of the past two+ weeks: He keeps calling John Holdren "Eric Holdren" on his radio show as well as his TV show, which really makes him look like a superficial clod.

I like Rush a whole lot.
I like Mark a whole lot.
I like Glenn a whole lot.
There are many others.

Each has been extremely helpful in promoting the cause of freedom, which I appreciate in the present climate. Yet, ego and allegiance aside, I'd prefer less personal posturing. The movement is so much larger than any individual.

Conservatives should stick together.

Sometimes I wonder if Glenn Beck is too emotional to keep this going, so I wish him the best.

Glenn is under attack by the NAACP in Easton, PA because they don’t want him to speak at the State Theater in Jan.

Every one of our talk show hosts are different. How boring if they were all alike.

God bless Rush
God bless Glenn
God bless Sean
God bless Mark

Beck could well be the air apparent to Rush.

That does not take away anything from Levin or Hannity. Both are great at what they do.

The best thing of all is that all four have different broadcast styles. That's how you now they are "all" for real and great at what they do.

Glen Beck = George Patton
Rush = William “Bull” Halsey

I heard this tonight on Mark's show...I was making dinner, and I winced and said..."No no no, Mark, we should NOT eat our own."

I love Mark and his loyalty to Rush, but Glenn is NOT the enemy.

Remove your egos, please...things are too serious for this kind of stuff.

One can like both Coke and Pepsi. And Dr. Pepper (dare I add Jim Quinn to the mix...he is one of the absolute best prepared radio talkers).

Rush made the medium of talk radio; he is the master. Beck, I like because of his humor and sense of irony. Levin I have enjoyed on the occasionsI have listened to him (but he isn’t on in my market)...he’s much more cerebral (not as entertaining—I need to laugh).

Now...if we add ‘visuals’ into the mix...well...I love Mark Steyn, funny, well versed (and eye candy).

Like to listen to Levin, but when he starts bashing Glenn, I turn him off. He’s been doing it more and more lately.

The only thing missing when Mark said it was this music playing in the background. Yes, Beck finally has a piece of the pie. Yet a good many wonder about his conservative credentials and whether his act is better suited for someone wearing pie on their face.

I agree and thank God Beck is no Limbaugh, we got enough Limbaughs on the radio, Beck is more than just a talk show host, he's a T.V. personality who shines as an investigative reporter, Limbaugh could never accomplish that with his own T.V. show.

Beck's continual call to action has resulted in the Tea Parties and the massive 9/12 march on D.C., God is raising up Beck to do His work against evil, Limbaugh, Levin, Savage are all always too angry to be called to do what mild-mannered Beck is accomplishing. Everyone should be supporting Beck's work at this point, even Levin.

LImbaugh is a scholar and expert at distilling information. He is the grand poobah.

Levin is an academic and antagonist. He is a pit bull.

Beck is more of an investigator and entertainer, He is a motivator.

Savage is a story teller. He is (usually) a speaker of the hard truth.

Hannity is the conservative multimedia figure. He is the rah rah guy.

Boortz looks at things differently than all the others. He provides the devil's advocate.

They each have their specialties and attract different audiences. It's sad that any of them feels the need compete. Each has a niche they can talk to.

I sum it up like this. I like Rush and will listen if I have the chance. With Beck I like him as well but I make it a point to listen to him. There, that about sums it up for me.

I believe that Rush is doing a service for the Conservative movment on a daily basis and has for twenty plus years. Beck is taking the Conservative message to a new level and actually getting people physically involved in taking back their government. I have never seen Rush move people to this extent.

There is room for all three, Glenn, Rush, and Mark, to share their distinct views on the airwaves. We need to hang together or we shall hang separately. I love Mark’s brilliance, but his churlish and petty jealousy of Beck is wearing thin. Glenn has never said one bad word about Mark Levin. C’mon Mark, the way you act toward Glenn is beneath you.

In a time where the conservative message is being ignored by the MSM, we need as many conservative messengers as possible. Beck reaches audiences that Rush would never attract. Hannity has an audience has has a demeanor that is attractive to a different base. I don’t listen to Levin too much, but he has a different audience and a different tune. Of course, Rush has justifiably the largest audience and is the philosopher-king of them all.

Although they have different styles, a different message, they are still overwhelmingly conservative and the more that listen, the better.

Although Levin is correct in that a third party will never win, and will guarantee another Obama term, he should press that argument (like Hannity) instead of attacking Beck. It smacks of resentment and jealously, which is NOT a conservative hallmark. We celebrate success, right?

Sadly for me- my schedule has kept me from hearing Mark as much as I used to- so I haven’t heard him on the topic of Beck.

My personal view- Mark has depth and a great mind- his intellect towers over Beck. I would prefer he not always jump on libs so ferociously- even though I am just as impatient with them as he :) I have learned more from Mark than any other talk show.

Sean is a nice guy- does a lot of good and probably attracts a lot of younger people to take another look at conservatives.

Beck has brought attention to some very serious and important issues and has done terrific work exposing the history of the left in America. I am unable to listen to his whole show- radio or tv. His personality gets in the way- it distracts me and I find his self-absorbtion and drama too much. But I cheer him on- and appreciate his work.

Rush is in a class of his own. Even when I think he’s wrong and don’t agree with him- he’s Rush. As a private citizen, he’s done more for the conservative cause than anyone I can think of..

Before talk radio and cable TV the conservative media was composed of a bunch of writers. There wasn’t any opportunity for them to become rich and they weren’t fighting with each other for the opportunity to be the center of attention.

What they did do is provide a nucleus for a lot of like-minded people. They helped a movement to organize, they helped conservatives to gain some influence within the GOP, and after years of fighting the GOP Establishment they managed to get Ronald Reagan nominated and then elected.

It’s not like all of these people got along with each other. There was plenty of infighting and a lot of schisms. But what we didn’t see was a lot of self-serving egotists fighting to be the center of attention. The Limbaughs, the Hannitys, the Becks and Levins are only of value when they help the rest of us. When they spend their time seeking their own fame and fortune they aren’t worth spit. Right now Beck has helped a couple of 20-somethings make a ruin of ACORN. Levin should STHU if he has nothing to contribute to that effort.
