Mark Levin was asked in an email today by Politico.com who has more influence, Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. Mark's answer was clear (hear the brief audio at the jump).

The only thing missing when Mark said it was this music playing in the background...

Beck could well be the air apparent to Rush.

That does not take away anything from Levin or Hannity. Both are great at what they do.

The best thing of all is that all four have different broadcast styles. That's how you now they are "all" for real and great at what they do.

Glen Beck = George Patton
Rush = William “Bull” Halsey

You would be 100% accurate on this post about a year ago or more but not so much today,IMHO. His show is getting better and better in every facet the more (big league)experience he gets.

Hannity is a good, decent and likable fellow, but he is very slow witted. I’ve seen libs whiz pitches right by him, and the best he can do is repeat one of his dozen or so canned lines.

He doesn’t have much depth, sadly.

I’d never hitch my wagon to his star.

I heard this tonight on Mark's show...I was making dinner, and I winced and said..."No no no, Mark, we should NOT eat our own."

I love Mark and his loyalty to Rush, but Glenn is NOT the enemy.

Remove your egos, please...things are too serious for this kind of stuff.

I think Levin’s problem with Beck is that he considers him to be an intellectual lightweight, which relative to Levin, he probably is.

To be fair, he doesn’t hold that against Hannity, who is an even bigger intellectual lightweight than Beck.

One can like both Coke and Pepsi. And Dr. Pepper (dare I add Jim Quinn to the mix...he is one of the absolute best prepared radio talkers).

Rush made the medium of talk radio; he is the master. Beck, I like because of his humor and sense of irony. Levin I have enjoyed on the occasionsI have listened to him (but he isn’t on in my market)...he’s much more cerebral (not as entertaining—I need to laugh).

Now...if we add ‘visuals’ into the mix...well...I love Mark Steyn, funny, well versed (and eye candy).

Beck’s work on this financial disaster has been superb. He called it 2 years ago when Rush and Sean were cheerleading GW’s economy. Rush is still my fave, but Mr. Drama has got to be making Sean and Savage a little nervous.

Like to listen to Levin, but when he starts bashing Glenn, I turn him off. He’s been doing it more and more lately.

Glenn and Rush are not in competition with each other, sounds like someone wants to stir things up!

Actually, that's really not true. In many markets, including San Francisco, the two radio shows are on at the same time.

The only thing missing when Mark said it was this music playing in the background. Yes, Beck finally has a piece of the pie. Yet a good many wonder about his conservative credentials and whether his act is better suited for someone wearing pie on their face.

I agree and thank God Beck is no Limbaugh, we got enough Limbaughs on the radio, Beck is more than just a talk show host, he's a T.V. personality who shines as an investigative reporter, Limbaugh could never accomplish that with his own T.V. show.

Beck's continual call to action has resulted in the Tea Parties and the massive 9/12 march on D.C., God is raising up Beck to do His work against evil, Limbaugh, Levin, Savage are all always too angry to be called to do what mild-mannered Beck is accomplishing. Everyone should be supporting Beck's work at this point, even Levin.

Actually we are taught to repeat often, especially at Hannity’s level. You get a new audience every 15 minutes and most of the callers he is cutting of are libs and deserve to be cut off. They have done the cutting off and hogging the mike for so many years its actually refreshing to watch them get cut off. In addition Mark Levin and Laura Ingraham do the same thing.

That may be true, but I saw it more as acting to defend Rush. Loyalty means a lot to Mark, Rush, etc., as it does to you, me and all true conservatives. Mark was covering Rush’s back.

You're right. I don't know how Glenn can even sleep at night. He's under attack by liberals at MSNBC daily.

LImbaugh is a scholar and expert at distilling information. He is the grand poobah.

Levin is an academic and antagonist. He is a pit bull.

Beck is more of an investigator and entertainer, He is a motivator.

Savage is a story teller. He is (usually) a speaker of the hard truth.

Hannity is the conservative multimedia figure. He is the rah rah guy.

Boortz looks at things differently than all the others. He provides the devil's advocate.

They each have their specialties and attract different audiences. It's sad that any of them feels the need compete. Each has a niche they can talk to.

The don’t compete as far as being political rivals, however.
I think they respect each other.

I sum it up like this. I like Rush and will listen if I have the chance. With Beck I like him as well but I make it a point to listen to him. There, that about sums it up for me.

Beck has a huge radio presence. He is charismatic, incredibly funny, has a great radio voice and when he talks from the heart and says "now listen America, you know people are listening. He's the reel deal,at his level it's tough to fool people for long.
