The answer seems to be yes, at the moment. News reports out over the last few days and one in particular that seems to indicate the International Atomic Energy Agency, under head Mohamed ElBaradei, has been withholding concrete evidence of Iranian nuclear weapons development and delivery capabilities tell a tale of continuing Iranian determination to get a nuclear weapon.
Today's reports come on the heels of yesterday's announcement by President Obama that the U.S. was stopping work on developing a land-based missile defense shield aimed at preventing its Eastern European allies (especially Poland and Czechoslovakia) from suffering a possible ballistic missile attack by Iran in the future.
All indications on the part of the United States -- which had been badgered by the Russian government and de facto strongman and former president Vladimir Putin to pull the plug on Eastern European missile defense ever since the Bush administration announced the shield program -- say that there was no quid pro quo expected from the Russians for the U.S. deciding to stop shield deployment.
But, has Obama and his team been taken to the cleaners on this? After all, even if he were to succeed in getting the anti-aircraft defense shield sale cancelled, what does that mean the U.S. will also have to give up on when it comes to Iran?...
Again, it seems like its better to be an enemy of the U.S. (in the case of Iran) or at least a nation which lines up against America on foreign diplomatic or global security issues (as in the case of Russia) than it is to be a friend. The Poles and the Czechs are finding this out the hard way, too.

What’s for sure is they’re all bending him over ;-)
T.
Can’t rape the willing? It sure seems like it.
The Europeans love to punch America for being the bully, Bush is a war monger, Iran is no problem and such -— All the while they pretend like nothing is wrong, comfortablly sitting in America's security hammock.
No security hammock, yowser squawk squawk squawk we have to do something about Iran's nukes aimed at Europe. Out comes the facts ...
Obama just called their bluff, because he hasn't a clue about near anything -- Bumbling into the beehive. It's a laugher on it's face, Europe caught with their Obama down, serious under the surface.
Our enemies do not have to do anything but demand what they want. Obama delivers. He delivers for the wrong side now, and, in the historical sense to further unfold.
Al-Qaeda has just demanded that Germany vote the ‘right way’ or else. What would Obama do? What would the Republicans do? Both parties have those Islamic advisors to guide them now, and, both Republican and Democrat Presidents have worn those Saudi gold neck medallions. Are we secure? No.
He’ll have a very serious decision to make soon and I’ll be he doesn’t make it.
Yeah, he’ll sit on the sidelines and try to prevent Israel from doing the right thing.
....AND loving it!
Interesting how information always comes AFTER the deed is done, eh?
It’s pretty sad, especially when one considers that he KNEW what was going on and still went ahead and cancelled that anti-missile system. Who was it that said Obama is like Jimmy Carter on steroids?
America is totally helpless. We won't defend ourselves with Obama as president. What makes anyone in the rest of the world think the US will lift a finger to defend them? I hope this is the last peacenik hippy we have in office.
Wake me when we get attacked again. I need to sleep off this election hangover, it seems to just keep getting worse.
More like what Jesse Jackson famously said he wanted to do to him.
since Bam does not appear to have a pair anyway, does it really matter?
Yep. And it ain’t funny.
