It’s all well and good to teach students to respect our government and the president. But we all know the liberals would have gone ballistic if anyone had taught kids to sing the praises of George W. Bush. This event crosses the line.

Damage done, the horse has bolted. Close the gate.

The brownshirts cannot take us over as long as there is YouTube and the rest of the free blogosphere.

Long live the First Amendment and woe to those who would try to fiddle with it.

Tick...tick...tick

“The district said the students were participating in Black History Month in February”.

...I wonder if Walter Williams or Thomas Sowell will be invited to speak! ~sarc

Lets be realistic for a second here. This probably happens 1000 times a year or more across the country. The only reason it was “inappropriate to teach partisan politics” in this case was that they were caught.

Now I understand. This was just a little innocent celebration of black history month last February. And the evvvvvil right wingers sat on it to release now so as to embarrass the Dear Leader during the G-20 meetings.

Only problem with that theory is that the Dear Leader is incapable of embarrassment.

The district said the students were participating in Black History Month in February.

There is so much confusion concerning when this clip was shot. I've read it was in early spring, it was done in June and now Feb/Black History month. Then this morning on Fox n Friends a mom whose kid was in the vid stated that this was an assembly for all the second graders celebrating all kinds of holidays.

I dunno, I've been to many school assemblies in my day and that auditorium seemed mighty quiet, especially if it was full of second graders. looked more like a practice to me.

Imagine the reaction in the media if this song had been about President George Bush? Or Jesus?

New Jersey’s education commissioner ordered a review after a YouTube video shows school children learning a song celebrating President Barack Obama.....

...the commissioner of NJ schools wants to know why other NJ schools are not doing this and why they have not done this sooner. (HUGE Sarc!!!)

Forsyth said the commissioner wants to ensure that students can celebrate Black History Month without "inappropriate partisan politics in the classroom."

A complete contradiction in terms, but whatever.

Call the school and ask them where we can find the George Bush praise song?

Forsyth said the commissioner wants to ensure that students can celebrate Black History Month without "inappropriate partisan politics in the classroom."

This is a change. Last night the comment from him was: this was unauthorized and part of black history month.

So... I really thought this would end at this statement because everyone would be afraid to dare say anything for fear of being called a racist...

I am glad common sense has been added to the statement

"without "inappropriate partisan politics in the classroom."

Whoever authorized that brainswashing and cult-leader worship session, along with the woman leading the session, should be lined up and have their posteriors kicked mightily. And then unceremonioulsy fired. That is by far the creepiest, most chilling thing I’ve ever witnessed in my almost sixty years years on this planet. In America yet. Young children. I thought the Hollyweird celebrity Demi Moore-inspired nonsense was creepy. This is creepier.

If you don’t EFFING have time to salute the nation’s flag, you don’t EFFING have time to sing “Dear Leader” praises to 0bama. Everyone involved with this deserves to be fired immediately.
