I had a 6th grade teacher who put those kind of kids into what he called the "bluebird row".
He threatened the rest of the class that he'd put us in the "bluebird row" if we didn't toe the line.
He also had a HUGE sneaker he used to give swats to those who misbehaved.

And right you are. It’s depressing that we (our children, actually) must deal with prejudice, mean-spiritness, stupidity, AND ignorance all rolled into one while getting an “education”.
I saw a video the other day of a teacher (college level-Berkeley)lecturing on why it was so easy for the whites to cruise over to Africa and capture slaves. A student asked, “How many of the Africans were enslaved by other tribes and sold to the slave traders? The teacher replied, “Good question! I have no idea.”
Having said all that, I do want to point out there are many fine, dedicated teachers - even in the public schools. I currently have no complaints about the education my three grandsons are getting in public schools in North Texas surburban schools— so far, at least.

Reassigning a teacher who is doing this sort of emotional damage, and sounds stupid as well, is not that much different from the Priests who were shuffled off to elsewhere. Abuse is abuse and mental and emotional abuse is sometimes more insidious. The district is putting itself at risk for a very large lawsuit because the next time she abuses there is no way they can claim not to know. Children deserve better. We are supposed to protect them.
a video camera should record every class. Any parent should have the right to view the video.
And it should be public record for ALL taxpayers to see. Webcams cost almost nothing, and ever class should be broadcast live. Can you imagine how this might shut down the liberal activism and indoctrination in the classroom, and expose the idiots and get them fired?

It is no longer possible to surprise me regarding how debased government teachers in government schools have become.
