The key point is that ever since the Reagan years, the Republican Party has been dominated by radicals — ideologues and/or apparatchiks who, at a fundamental level, do not accept anyone else’s right to govern.

So "the election(s) was(were) stolen" is accepting someone else's right to govern?

The “idealogues” of the right understand how DANGEROUS it is to allow leftists to be in power. It’s not that they/we want to govern, we just don’t want to allow THEM to, because of the loss of individual freedom when they do.
