Official at ACORN Funder to Head Corporation for National and Community Service
BigGovernment.com ^ | October 6, 2009 | Matthew Vadum

President Obama announced he plans to nominate Patrick Corvington to be chief executive of the Corporation for National and Community Service, which oversees Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and Learn and Serve America. Big Government readers will remember that “the Corporation” assumed a prominent role on the infamous NEA Conference call, where ”the Corporation’s” Nell Abernathy joined White House and NEA officials to nudge artists to produce works supporting the Obama Administration’s legislative priorities.

cncs-logo_1

Although the charity Corvington works for, Annie E. Casey Foundation of Baltimore, Maryland, has granted funding to ACORN during his tenure, it is unclear if Corvington has ties to ACORN.

Nonetheless, Corvington is part of the same cluster of organizations that provides financial and other support for ACORN which is a longtime fixture in the activist community.

Since 2001 the Annie E. Casey Foundation has pumped at least $1,705,500 into the ACORN network, according to philanthropy database information.

Of the $1,705,500, at least $850,500 was earmarked for ACORN operations in Baltimore, Maryland, home of the ACORN branch office first shown in the recent undercover videos that debuted on BigGovernment.com. Those videos show James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles pretending to be a pimp and a prostitute and receiving mountains of advice on evading laws pertaining to tax evasion and prostitution (among other things).

The Annie E. Casey Foundation is a major funder of other groups on the left.

Looking at just the first letter of the alphabet, its grant recipients are labor federation AFL-CIO, abortion rights think tank Alan Guttmacher Institute, and liberal policy shop the Aspen Institute.

Although most of its grants go to groups on the political left, the foundation has funded at least one think tank on the political right. It has provided a few grants to the American Enterprise Institute.

These leftists we are seeing front and center run the country wether in office or not. Now that they have Obama in power they will take it on a National program level rather than working within non profit organizations, schools and universities to promote their fellow travelers into society as “community organizers”, “experts” and “professionals.” They guard the doors of high education.

I’ve been working on this for about a month and it looks like there are connections between BNY Mellon Bank and Acorn.

I Think, BNY Mellon represents 4 Acorn investment funds.

There’s also a case of the vanishing backup tapes from BNY with about 4.5M Social Security numbers.

I’m also seeing connections between Annie E. Casey, BNY and Acorn.

Too busy working to dig more today but I’ll look tonight.

I am beginning to wonder if there is really anyone dumber than the current POTUS.

I think Obama is pure evil, but I don't think he's dumb. If his goal is to destroy our economy on purpose through debt, increasing taxes, etc and create his own army he's doing exactly the right things. When unemployment gets over 20% and you have a permanent, unemployed, violent underclass from the urban areas who are angry and hungry, who do you think will sign up for his civilian security force or whatever he calls it? He'll have millions of inner city thugs ready to jump in and do whatever their Democrat masters tell them to do so they can get their meals and a paycheck, paid for by our tax dollars. So if that is his goal, he isn't dumb, he is doing exactly what will bring about his plans.

Does everyone get it yet? This is the awful future. Corruption and they no longer care who knows it.

Mainly because they know that nobody is going to stop them.

I am about ready to tune out thinking all is lost.

If you happened to catch Glenn Beck yesterday, it’s plain to see that ostammer has a veritable army of these people at the ready. No matter how many get driven off through exposure, there are more than enough to step forward to fill the void at a moment’s notice.

We’re in serious trouble. We have to find a more effective way to beat them back, and it’s a two-prong war - them on one flank, the slimestream media on the other flank.

I know all these organziations are loosely connected since we see the same players over & over, but was just wondering if there is a direct connection of this “America Forward” you mention here with this Annie Casey Foundation or the Patrick Corvington guy mentioned here. Before I email this out to anyone I just needed a clearer picture of what the connection between these groups.
