Just when you thought the White House couldn't possibly do anything to make their bizarre feud with the Fox News Channel an even larger spectacle - the administration manages to take it to another level.
Over the past two weeks, three White House officials have publicly criticized the Fox News Channel by denigrating its status as a news outlet - White House Communications Director Anita Dunn, Senior Advisor David Axelrod and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. And even the president himself commented on his opinion of Fox News. However, that pales in comparison to the latest petty stunt.
On the Oct. 22 broadcast of Fox News Channel's "Special Report," host Bret Baier revealed a White House pool announcement was offering Kenneth Feinberg, the "Special Master for Compensation," better known as the White House "pay czar" for interviews - all except for one network - Fox News.

This is great...this will have the independents and “moderates” saying to themselves:”Hey...those right wingers were right—he is a tyrant.”
I tend to believe the former.
If the rst of the media gives a merry rip about it’s responsibility to the constitution and it’s duty to the truth they will boycott Obama press conferences until they recant this nonsense. I know, wishful thinking.
He makes Nixon and gang look like choir boys. Absolutely none of this is surprising to those that paid attention during the prez campaign and were not mesmerized by the little turd Obama. He will eventually be flushed down the toilet but right now he is really stinking up the place....ugh, what an offensive odor.
An administration, confident in their vision, doesn’t seek to aggressively supress criticism at every single turn. This administration wants so desparately to preach down to feeble minded sheep that need tending.
The other networks told the White House if Foxnews is not allowed in, none of them would participate. The WH capitulated and allowed Major Garrett to do an interview.
Barack and Rahm are pretending to be the “little guy” who is being bullied by the big mean Fox News. Only problem with the strategy is that Barack is the President, so they just come off as pathetic. While they should be worrying about the issues, they desperately grasp for a common enemy hoping to unite the masses. These guys only seem to have a skill-set that was useful for nitpicking Bush, but are lost at sea at getting anything positive accomplished now that they’ve attained power. Feels like it’s 1976.... amateurs.
Let him give speeches to the fawning idiots to dumb and scared to say he has no clothes.
Yep...and people are beginning to figure it out—not liberals—but Americans.
It’s a skill set that worked in a one party town like Chicago... It doesn’t work with the whole country!
One, or many, of Odumbo's advisors, sat around and decided that this was going to be their plan of attack. Attack FOX News in a concerted way. Attack them from all angles. Since the President has the same talking points, he is in on it, too.
Obama is a really, really, REALLY crappy chess player.
FOX isn’t going to get anything but lies from the White House.
The facts are: 37% of Fox News’ audience is DEMOCRATS.
Maybe a few of them will withhold their votes in 2010 ..??
All this publicity and controversy will probably increase Fox’s rating by about 25% within a few more weeks.
I absolutely agree....zero’s poll numbers were in the toilet with independents months ago- more stunts like this and he’ll be down to the pathetic numbers congress is polling at these days...
They're realizing their profession is under siege - the WH gang, like the Chicago thugs they are, figured the MSM media would gladly climb aboard against their competitor that is taking the ratings from them -
wrong calculation. The MSM media doesn't want to play with the snake in the sand box.
