I agree about Ron Paul.

I looked at the Wackos that supported him and Wrote him off.

About the only Issue I am anywhere near Ron Paul on is Monetary Policy.

Inflation will soon break us.

Everything will cost More, If you can find it.

If Obamacare passes Inflation will automatically Double or Quadruple it’s costs.

What do you think will happen to the US if other Countries Stop buying our debt?

Not Pretty.

If you don’t take one for the team, the team will want to kick you out.

It would have been different if: (1) there was a primary and Hoffman lost to Dede, and (2) Dede is a moderate, meaning she is at least either social or economic conservative. If that's the case, I would agree with you. Just like when McCain won the primary, I was on the camp that we had to take one for the team. And yes, there are times conservatives are in my-way-or-no-way position. I am a conservative, but I don't necessary share that attitude.

This time, however, it's different. Neither of the two conditions apply. Republicans (or I should say conservatives) still hold individuality dearly. They may like to play for the team, but if the leaders pick someone that clearly is out of line, they cannot be expected to follow the leaders' lead.

We need to quit talking about a “third party” and start thinking about a “Replacement Party”. If the GOP doesn’t pull its head out of the sand and start listening to the people, then they need to be replaced!

For those who missed it, Dede Scozzafava got a Margaret Sanger award from Planned Parenthood.

Hoffman is prolife, and conservative in every way.

Dede Scozzafava is another Specter, Snow, et al. Liberal Republicans are wickedly harmful for conservatism.

Agreed.

This is from a PR/Marketing perspective, but, for Alternative Conservative Party-ists in a case like this against a RINO and a Lib-Dem, the term "third party" should be a taboo and avoided like the plague. It serves no purpose, is terribly loaded and negative, and necessarily projects not only "defeat", but even "single digit percentage defeat".

We need re-branding here. Doug is truly going to run away with at least 35% of the vote. Definitely agree not using that term. Anything outside the two party system goes against the grain of 90% of the American People, with as much logic as Pavlov's Dogs responding to the bell.

"No, they are teaming up to save the GOP....
....from itself."

That's the way I read it - they are challenging "The Machine" because the Republican males aren't man enough to do it - if they don't succeed thier political careers are over, if they do succeed we may yet save our country.

I found these endorsements interesting. I hope Palin will try to lead the party back to their principles and core values. And this endorsement takes a stand for that, but it is risky.

I am believing more and more that the internal polling numbers are showing Hoffman with a strong lead by now. A Hoffman loss could be a very bad thing for Palin and Bachmann at this point.

Has everyone seen this: “The Most Important Number in Politics Today.”

Doug Hoffman is the Conservative alternative in this race (or Hoffman by PayPal).

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat. Mark Steyn has coined the term DIABLO for her and others like her. Democrat In All But Label Only.

There are also at least 17 unprincipled DIABLO enablers in the house who have donated funds or otherwise supported to this LibeRal democRat's DIABLO’s campaign. They include Boehner, Cantor, Sessions, Hensarling, Brown-Waite and McCotter. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These unprincipled enablers should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year. Also, perhaps those of us who donated to the RNC or RCCC should ask for our money back so we can support the conservative candidates of our choice.

More threads ...
From the desk of
cc2k:
I support Doug Hoffman for Congress (PayPal).

Please, spread the word about this important election on November 3, 2009 in New York’s 23rd congressional district.

A Hoffman win is very necessary. At the same time, it is so wonderful to have a breath of fresh air - a politician on the Conservative side who can make a difference and who is standing up for another Conservative, in spite of the RINO-loving GOP. We haven't had that in a while. And, really, if Hoffman loses, the liberal will win. And isn't that the same result had Hoffman not run in the first place?

“The congresswoman takes sides against a Republican candidate”

LIARS.

The real Republican in the race is Doug Hoffman. Dede Skuzzyfavor is liberal RINO who was being recruited to go Arlen. She has union support and planned parenthood support.

Palin, Thompson etal. is trying to help save the GOP from an embarrassment.

Time to donate money to Doug Hoffman!

I’m not so sure a Hoffman loss would really be a bad thing for Palin. She said that she would support conservative candidates no matter what party they were in, and she is walking the walk. She could hardly do otherwise, IMO. If she sat this out, she would take a lot of mocking, and heat for not having endorsed him after making such a big thing about supporting conservatives, no matter what.

She took a principaled stand, I think most conservatives will respect that. Only the Palin haters will make anything out of it, and they’ll make something out of it either way the election goes.

A win would definately be better, however.
