Reid: Lieberman Is The Least Of My Problems
TPMDC.com ^ | 10/27/09 | Brian Beutler

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid addressed a development, first reported by TPMDC, that Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) will filibuster a health care bill if it includes a public option.

"Joe Lieberman is the least of Harry Reid's problems," Reid told reporters at his weekly press conference.

During a Q&A session with reporters, Reid offered a fairly spirited defense of Lieberman, signaling perhaps that he doesn't believe Lieberman will ultimately be an obstacle--or at least that he doesn't want to tip his hat: "I don't have anyone that I've worked harder with, have more respect for, in the Senate than Joe Lieberman. As you know, he's my friend. There are a lot of senators--Democrat and Republicans--who don't like [parts of this bill]... Sen. Lieberman will let us get on the bill, and he'll be involved in the amendment process."

When someone uses the phrase, "the least of my problems", you know for a fact that whatever they're addressing is far from the least of their worries.

Reid's feeling the heat.

He is so right. Joe is the least of his problems because his big problem is losing his Senate seat by his own constituents back home in Nevada.

Moreso when they’re referring to themselves in the third person.

Pathetic attempt to try and spin away Lieberman’s defection, sorry Harry, it won’t work. Without Snowe you’ll need all 60 in your caucus, so strike Lieberman and more than likely Byrd (for health rteasons) and that leaves you with 58. Of that 58 you’ll still have to get Bayh, Ben Nelson , Landrieu, Lincoln, McCaskill and Warner. Good luck Harry, you dirtbag.

"I wonder how bad the Vegas casinos are really hurting with the economy like it is?"

I believe that they are really hurting. The unemployment rate in Clark County, NV is around 13.5% - one of the highest rates outside of the Midwest, perhaps the highest outside of Detroit.

Steve Wynn was on Fox News Sunday a month or so ago. He wasn't a very happy man and was very critical of Obama's lack of focus on actual job creation.
