When Katie Couric and the folks at CBS start doubting what the Administration says about how effective February's economic stimulus package was, you know President Obama is in trouble. "Well, Katie, that report is going to claim that the stimulus has already created or saved hundreds of thousands of jobs, but if the administration`s first effort at counting stimulus jobs is any guide, tomorrow`s numbers could be hard to believe."

What??!! You mean the www.recovery.gov report of 159 jobs having been “created or saved” in Nevada is an overstatement? I guess the 190,000 unemployed Nevadans will have to wait a little longer than I thought for things to turn around ...
I’m constantly baffled at the notion of a “saved job”. If the person is still employed, or has their job, and never lost it — how in the world do they possibly figure out that they would have lost their job if stimulus money or other Obama action wasn’t there. Maybe other factors kept them employed. Please, we’re not that stupid.
You, sir, have grasped the nut of the problem most precisely. The whole issue of “what is the criteria that defines a ‘saved’ job?” is never defined, so the Obama administration gets to simply make up numbers.
Financial skeptics were onto this issue way back in February, when the stimulus projections were being thrown about...
I guess anyone who still has a job after 10 months of Obamanomics can be counted as a “saved job”.

CBS suddenly grew a pair ?
Maybe they have been watching Glenn Beck compare the tyrannical moves of Obama and realize we are all about to fall to a dictatorship.
The real question, can they undo the damage they have done?
More than likely, they are watching fox ratings soar and their own plummet and they are abandoning a sinking ship, before the rest of their viewers realize they are completely irrelevant.
