Does Your Area have a Shortage of Flu and H1N1 Vaccines? (Vanity and information gathering)

I am just checking to see how the vaccines have been made available throughout the country. I have seen posts on the site saying that they are in short supply in some areas and other posters are saying there are no problems getting them.

I would like it if you could tell us your state and what is the status of the vaccine availablilty in the area.

I want to make sure that the vaccines have not been made a political football. That we havent yet turned into an African kleptocratcy.

Plenty of vaccines at Gitmo.

Ohh. And the White House too.

I don’t know and I don’t care. No vaccine for me or my loved ones, not today, not ever.

In Ohio (NE), the yearly flu shots available, don’t know about the H1N1.

Not yet available in Vermont. Our pharmacy, which normally distributes flu vaccine, says they have applied but haven’t even been told if they are getting it or not. Nor has our doctor’s office.

I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I’ve heard that one measure of priority is population—and Vermont has a small population.

That doesn’t make much sense, but it’s good enough for government purposes, I expect.

Yes, the H1N1 flu clinics have been cancelled because of the incompetence of the Obama administration to provide the vaccines.

Incompetence or planned.

In the Rochester, NY area flu clinics have been cancelled because of vaccine availability.

At the clinic where I am a client, which is attached to the largest hospital in the area, there is no seasonal vaccine and no H1N1 vaccine available.

At another much smaller clinic there is pediatric seasonal vaccine, no H1N1 vaccine and I don't know about adult seasonal vaccine.

There is no seasonal vaccine at Public Health. Don't know about swine vaccine.

have not seen FluMist anywhere.

My kids were both running 103+ F temps in the last week with the hoarse cough and so they are de factoimmunized against the current H1N1 strain (after having suffered through it and being diagnosed by the local ER). No seasonal strain has appeared here.

The kids got sick even though they had been taking 1,000 IU D3 daily.

We parents have not gotten sick, or not sick enough to say it is the flu.

Seasonal flu vaccine and shots no longer available at the big walk-in pharmacies (Walgreens, Walmart, Safeway, etc.) in California’s Central Valley, as far as I can tell. Findaflushot.com confirms. Waited too long this year to get mine. Wife tells me it’s still available at some hospitals in the area, if I want to go there.

HIN1 available next week at Walgreens.

HIN1 available next week at Walgreens.

Call before you go. I'm just relaying what the lady at Walgreen's told me when I called about seasonal flu shots.

What, you can't walk into your supermarket and get a flu shot?

Ran me $45 to get shots for the whole family at our local Vons(Safeway/Kroger). Just the normal flu shot, though. The H1N1 wasn't out at the time.

We think we already had it — everyone had fever, cough and muscle aches.

DD said shots were supposed to be given at the middle school but have been postponed.

I don’t think the kids need them, now.

I work in a Dr. ofc in So. GA. No HiNi vacine yet & don't know when. Seasonal flu vaccine was sent, but only have what was asked for. Health Depts are advertising that they have it.

http://www.flucliniclocator.org is a good site, the one you quoted states that they ran out of vaccine (and updating) on September 15th.

Sorry, I wouldn’t know because I haven’t asked...I and my immediate family are not worried about it. This flu has been around for years and the statistics just don’t warrant getting in enough panic to get a vaccine that is iffy at best.

I haven’t been paying attention, but haven’t seen much in the local news calling for a panic attack.

Why would I care?

My federal government is telling me this is a problem and it lies to me about everything else.

Why should I believe this one thing?

I guess there isn’t any available in King County (Seattle area). My friend was supposed to be giving H1NI vaccines and hasn’t been due to no supply.
