Hoffman’s lead in Oswego actually shrinking.

It’s over.

I’d think that many of those 6000 votes were absentee ballots ...

Could be. Haven't heard whether all have been counted. Said earlier that they had outstanding ones from the military.

If Corzine hated the job, why’d he run? The rats would have been better off with another candidate. He could have saved the money.

Sounds really stupid to me.

I think the story of this one is that Republicans felt like they didn’t really have a candidate in the race. Many were probably sympathetic toward Scozzafava and didn’t appreciate Hoffman getting into the race at the last minute. They might have viewed him as a carpetbagger and a bully.

This will be spun as a repudiation of conservatism, but there are many factors in play here.

You can lay the loss of this seat at the feet of the NY Republican Party who hand picked Scozz. rather than allowing the people of that district a choice in a primary.

In this political climate, if Republicans had been allowed to choose their candidate, the person chosen would win this election.

“Yes we did! Yes we did!” LOL. That was great.

Fox projects Bloomberg the winner by 5 points. I guess they never expected it to be that close.

Too bad about NY 23 but it is hardly a defeat for conservatism or Republicans. It was just a mixed up race. Juan Williams said it revealed problems for the GOP, but at the same time he said NJ and VA were big victories. So how can the party be in such disarray if they won such meaningful victories in those 2 major states??

He appeared to be incredibly brain dead to me. He seemed to be a duck out of water and was clueless as to what to say. Fred and Jeri had to do all the talking for him.

I just saw this on the Virginia voting site. This is NOT a small thing, it is a very BIG thing. Fairfax has become a real bastion of the Libtards in NOVA over the last few years. To see this result is quite satisfying and, I believe, a harbinger of bigger things to come.

77% In

Owens lead down to 3711. Hoffman picks up 217 on the last flash. He needs that on just about every flash.

Exactly. If we’d have had a primary in 23, it would be a different story.

Does anybody know how close District 23 has to be before a recount/runoff?
