Last Tuesday, the State Assembly began its daily session of running our lives with a prayer, as per usual. Except, it was not per usual at all.
One legislator thought the prayer itself sounded so odd, he decided to check into the background of the Rev. Selena Fox, who apparently had been chosen to inspire lawmakers with a little dose of paganism.
Rev. Selena Fox is senior minister and high priestess of Circle Sanctuary, a Wiccan church, Pagan resource center, and Nature preserve with a worldwide Ecospirituality ministry ...
For more than thirty years, Rev. Fox has served as one of the elders, religious freedom activists, and public media spokespersons for the Wiccan religion and related forms of contemporary Paganism and Nature religion, nationwide and internationally...
She is author of the Goddess Communion handbook and the research study: When Goddess is God. Her audio recordings include Sacred Cave Ritual and Magical Journeys...
And then there is this:
She is among the religious leaders appointed to and presently serving on the Religious Practices Advisory Committe to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
I am sure we have many witches in the Obama Administration with a dose of warlocks...
Yeegads what’s next...
Uhhhhh.....
Ping.
No, really.
Uhhhh.....
It’s not a religion. It’s an emotional reaction against established mainstream “patriarchal” religions. Full moon tonite? They’ll be out.
Did she paint herself blue and do the ritual in the nude? Or is that the Druid ritual?
Anytime I see photos of Pelosi and Reid celebrating the latest piece of legislation, I think of this...
The funny thing about The Crucible, it’s held up as an outcry against “witchhunts” but just as there were people practicing witchcraft in The Crucible, there really were Communists in America. Whether they should have been permitted to do their deeds is another question altogether. Too much of the echo chamber was that it was wrong to investigate them.
*ping*
At least reverend Fox won't be out there blowing up synagogues and chopping off infidels heads.
Wisconsin State Assembly wiccan prayer ping.
It won’t be long before they will start meetings by sacrificing a child, probably by having a high priest abort the child to be sacrificed, so it can be a matter of choice.
Hahaha! Recently I had to attend a garden party where she attended also and about 6-7 other wiccans and their odd little husbands/BFs/GFs/minstrals/eunuchs/Wolf Familiars, etc. I was able to gently chide the lot, proving to them in questioning them in the kindest of ways how made up the whole wiccan cult is - all of it based in the ridiculous Margaret Murray fantasies of endless Christian versus pagan pogroms based on completely falsified European court document translations where numbers of hanged or burned ‘witches’ would be deliberately inflated from 10 to 10,000 time after time. The best they could muster as a defence was ‘even witches need good propagandists’! Other than that, these appeared to be somewhat clever, emotionally-challenged former Catholics with not very satisfying lives made slightly more bearable by leaping naked over fires twice a year and drinking herbal blends that certainly come nowhere near to the quality of a good microbrew. I must say they struck me as more to pitied than anything.
Might have been nice if the non-pagan members of the assembly had risen as a body and walked out.
