Breitbart ^ | 11/5/09

Posted on 11/05/2009 4:16:45 PM PST by FromLori

Military officials say the suspected shooter at Fort Hood was a psychiatrist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for six years before being transferred to the Texas base in July. The officials had access to Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's military record. They said he received a poor performance evaluation while at Walter Reed.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because military records are confidential.

The Virginia-born soldier was single with no children. He was 39 years old.

He is a graduate of Virginia Tech University, where he was a member of the ROTC and earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry in 1997. He received his medical degree from the military's Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., in 2001. At Walter Reed, he did his internship, residency and a fellowship.

In the Navy we called them the 3 mile club. The only running they did during the year was for their bi-annual tests.

I totally see your point. This was jihad.

I sure would. You know it has been many years since I served over 30 actually but if I were serving today I would have a problem with all this. I can’t help but wonder how all the kids today feel it would seem to me this must be in the back of their minds.

Yeah really! We can offend every religion and pseudo-religion out there, but don’t go there! Don’t assume it’s Islam! Das ist verboten!

" Get ready for victim mode...Cousin says he was harassed."

Yep I caught that. People made fun of him. Had to listen to bad war stories. Cousin said he tried to buy his way out of the Army but they would not let him out and said he(shooter) was a "Good American". Sheesh!

“JIHAD!!!”

Yes it is. You do NOT shoot up fellow soldiers because you are mad at Obama for not pulling out of Afganistan as claimed in another media piece of crap.

Obama gets list of top Muslim Americans
Fri Mar 27, 2009 CHICAGO ? In a bid to get more Muslim Americans working in the Obama administration, a book with resumes of 45 of the nation’s most qualified ? Ivy League grads, Fortune 500 executives and public more...

http://search.denverpost.com/sp?keywords=Muslim+staffers&aff=1100&skin=100&searchbutton.x=12&searchbutton.y=7

Oddly enough, ahem, I can’t seem to bring up the actual article. As best I recall, WND and the Denver Post were the ONLY news media to mention this ugly FACT.

I think the colonel who knew the shooter at Walter Reed added a lot of perspective. Painted the picture of a guy who wouldn’t shut up with about his dislike for our military position. Kept spouting politics. Was told to can it. Sounds like they eventually transfered him from his 6 figure job to an active unit ready for deployment. And he didn’t like it.

When I entered the Air Force in 1973, at the Oakland CA induction center they sat us down with a sheet listing about 100 organizations. We had to put a check mark in the box next to any one of those organizations in which we had ever held membership, or had had any dealings with.

Do they still do the same?

I remember that on that list were even organizations like the John Birch Society. !!

When I was being evaluated for a security clearance at Whiteman AFB, Missouri in 1974, I was asked about an assignment I had completed in the 8th Grade (!!!), a report on the American labor movement. My answer was simply, that if I remembered correctly, that is what I was assigned, that's all, it was not a subject of my choice or my own interest. No other questions were asked.

Do military authorities still go back that far in people's lives when evaluating people for sensitive positions?

He was Muslim, he was against the Iraq War and got into heated arguments about it and wanted out. He had never been to Iraq before. Kay Bailey Hutchinson has been on presuming that he did it because he didn't want to go to Iraq.

Also, get ready for a whitewashing.

The [military] officials spoke on condition of anonymity because military records are confidential.

Does this bother anybody, that both Fox and these military guys don't give a damn about confidentiality procedures?

Thanks. We try.

I doubt very seriously the guy on the phone was his cousin. I’ll be any of us could call Shep and pretend to be someone “in the know” and he’d put us on the air. Ba Ba Booie!

There was only one shooter. The other two have been cleared and released.

My guess is some other folks drew pistols, even if CCW ain’t kosher on an Army base. So many witnesses saw two other guys with drawn pistols. But they have been released, adn cleared.
