Nancy’s final healthcare solution: Kill your colleagues
The decision of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to renege on her promise speaks volumes concerning her Machiavellian view of political power.
Should her maneuver succeed in bringing passage of the final bill without public scrutiny, the bill will nonetheless eventually reside in the public register. Once there, it will be accessible to the American public, and available for dissection by America’s formidable political machines for more than 300 days leading up to the re-election of the entire House of Representatives, and the political extermination of a large number of her colleagues.
One of the benefits of the slow movement of the behemoth called representative government is that it gives the delegated decision makers the opportunity to hear from their constituents concerning a bill prior to signing away their personal political future by voting on it. Although very few citizens actually contact their congressman, the opportunity to do so gives the political system at least the appearance of legitimacy, as well as potentially avoiding the law of unintended consequences that has been so prevalent in rushed legislation thus far in the 2008-2010 session of Congress (such as the impact of 10% Ethanol legislation on the cost of corn and everything that feeds on it). The willingness of Representative Pelosi to circumvent this process and effectively force a cloaked floor vote on an America-knows-not-what health bill will cost many of her associates their political lives. Hopefully there are enough members of the house to stop this from happening, if for no other reason than sheer self-preservation.
Delaying the vote on the bill until the American people have had the opportunity, should they so choose, to review its implications will give the members of Congress the firmer footing of being the voice of their constituents rather than the human shield of Nancy Pelosi. The rarified air of the beltway has intoxicated Speaker Pelosi well beyond the legal limits, and rendered her unworthy of not only the public trust, but the trust of her fellow members of congress on both sides of the aisle.

And if she does have the votes, they’re obviously not concerned.
They might know things we don’t.
And that’s scary. :(
Republicans have shown that they do not have the intestinal fortitude to cut out even one cancerous government entitlement, much less a behemoth such as the one on the floor now. In fact, Republicans are more than happy to extend unemployment insurance, increase food stamps, enlarge the first time home buyer housing credit and hand over trillions of our children's tax dollars to the completely unaccountable federal reserve.
Unless a major transformational shift occurs in the political landscape wiping the field clean of the entire current ruling class, both parties, we are watching the end of the Republic.
Hopefully the bwitch, Pelosi will be one of those who gets booted from her job!

So she’s actually on our side, she’s going to ruin a lot of Dimocrat careers and earn a demotion for herself.
She knows darned well that the majority of Americans would not want this bill if they read it.
As long as their permanent hand-out goes through, Dem voters don’t care whether the present representatives stay in or not. They only have to win once. After that, they can lose a few elections, until the next time they have the numbers and pass another permanent drain on our society.
