Poll: Grouchy Public Sticking With Obama (82% don't approve of Obama or 83% of Americas direction)

WASHINGTON (Nov. 11) - President Barack Obama still has the public approval of a majority of Americans, but he finds himself governing an increasingly pessimistic country. This comes at a time when he is trying to revive a struggling economy, weighing more troops for the 8-year-old Afghanistan war, muscling a health care reform overhaul through Congress and hoping to push through other ambitious measures like legislation focused on climate change. The latest Associated Press-GfK poll shows that Americans grew slightly more dispirited on a range of matters over the past month, continuing the slippage that has occurred since Obama took office. People were more pessimistic about the direction of the country than in October. They disapproved of Obama's handling of the economy a bit more than before. And, perhaps most striking for the commander in chief, more people have lost confidence in Obama on Iraq and Afghanistan over the last month. Overall, there's a malaise about the state of the nation. "It's in pretty bad shape," said truck driver Floyd Hacker of Granby, Mo., a Democrat who voted for Obama. "He sounded like somebody who could make things happen. I still think he can."

Notice that they do a poor job of telling you if they talked to “likely voters” or “Americans” -— always a big difference.

When elections are not close at hand, the MSM does not poll “likely voters” as those numbers are not as good for the Dems.

What is AOL???

Something that once was Q-Link for the Commodore 64, metastatized into something huge, then faded away with diallups.

Both their users are valiantly keeping it alive, in a deep coma, SENDING THIS TO EVERYONE THEY KNOW IN ALL CAPS.

Even the union workers are starting to turn against him. This is a good sign.

The lame, overpriced Internet service that ran polls predicting a McCain landslide victory in 2008.

It's a service the elderly and the computer-illiterate sometimes use for email and extremely basic internet access.

I am guessing they must have asked “Would you go and shoot him?”, to which everyone said “no”, hence we are “sticking with him”.
