Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (-13; 47%A, 52%D)
Rassmussen ^ | 11//21/09 | Rasmussen

Posted on 11/21/2009 7:37:06 AM PST by Mikey_1962

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13 (see trends).

Voters continue to see deficit reduction as the top Presidential priority with health care reform a distant second.

In a state-by-state look at the 2010 Senate races, Larry Sabato concludes “It will be surprising if the GOP doesn't make some progress in whittling down the large Democratic majority.” However, he cites a wide range of possible outcomes stretching from a one-or-two seat gain for Democrats to a seven-or-eight seat gain for the Republicans.

What’s it gonna take to get the SD number to cross the 42% threshold?

6 to 8 more months of the Economy in the tank. Incredibly, the majority still blame Bush and the GOP for the current state of the economy however that number drops every month.

If the rats gain seats in 2010 I’d have to say we are too far gone to survive as the founders intended.

Really? If this is even remotely true, the GOP needs to fold up the tent and go away. If they can't take both the house and senate with the lines of distinction so clearly drawn their incompetency has reached government bailout proportions.

Not really - the analysis is right on. Taking back the Senate is a tall order with the super-safe Senate seats across the country. Only a further deterioration of the approval numbers for Leroy Brown will allow us to win more seats.

>> Are the components of this average available? <<

Not so far as anybody on FR seems to know.

>> If not, are they deducible? <<

Probably. But it’s not an easy task. Might take the skills of a seasoned cryptographer.

As Darth Vader would say:

Not meaning to be racist but what percentage of the population is black? I admire my black friends who are seeing what a mess Obama is and admit it. However, they are few and far between. Obama’s approval rating will never go below that percentage.

The Ras numbers are a 3-day moving average. Are the components of this average available? If not, are they deducible? Intuitively, I’d surmise that if the numbers were say, -14 for a week or so, one could then deduce the individual day numbers from that point on.

You can pay Scott Rasmussen $19.95 per month and then have full access to the data.

Wait until the February economy - when the Christmas shopping season fails to save the world, when unemployment is still above 10%, after at least one significant international failure, and when the, “Cleaning up the mess left to us,” meme sounds even more hollow than it does today.

the Rats won’t budge. They prefer to go down with the SS Obama. So be it. We are on the right side and I think we are winning.

I’ve been thinking that once the “independent/moderates” realize how miserable their holidays (T-day, XPmass) were, the tide will begin to turn.

My wife and I are both still employed but, looking ahead, XPmass will be thin.

Both our employers have indicated that normal raises and bonuses are not going to be paid into 2010.

you forgot to include double digit interest rates and inflation.
After this happens the numbers REALLY tank- especially combined with a double dip recession.
don’t forget about russia “integrating” with Georgia, a terroist attack or venesula and columbia coming to blows.
Lots of land mines, no safe harbors.
The country will soon pray for the return of the worst president (thus far) in american history- jimmy carter.

-14 held for three days, the first time it was -14 back in august I think it was, it only held for a day. Now we have -14 for three days and -13 today, I do not think it was a one day phenomenon.

I no longer trust the telephonic polls because whites are afraid of being called racists if they complain about Obama.

He is the worst President of the last 50 years.

No Carter was worse unless Obama passes Health Care reform.

Or Cap & Tax.

Otherwise Carter remains the WORST President of the last 50 years. Or 75 Years for that matter.

I see.

Count me as one who has tossed racist concerns out the window without ever being a racist minded person anyway, however it was conveyed politically back in '08 by the MSM that race was a prominent focus.

Bottom line, most answer honestly via telephone if they answer at all.

If you do, then explain the 20 point difference between the the Rasmussen telephonic poll and the Rasmussen Internet poll (anonymous poll) when asking the exact same question.

Anonymity reveals true feelings and beliefs.
