BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Area residents steamed about a new bikini espresso stand packed a Bellevue City Council meeting on Monday night.
They put the heat on council members to do something, and quickly.
"Bellevue has set the bar so high for being a great community for families. That's why we moved here. And it's plummeting with this," said resident Susie Goett.
The complaints poured in after Knotty Bodies Espresso opened up right beside the popular Crossroads Park over the weekend. The company received similar complaints when it opened up a stand right next to a school and a church in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood.

This reminds me of what the locals call the “girl in the box” in Taiwan. Every few blocks on city streets are these glass enclosed newstand type kiosks with young bikini clad girls selling newspapers and cigarettes.
These stands up here in the Northwest are really becoming a nuisance. They are the product of failing businessmen who thought opening up a coffee stand would be easy and profitable. Instead on working on the products and customer service skills they resort to going Bikini. The problem is not the business idea itself but it’s incursion into bedroom communities.
God bless American capitalism! You just can’t find this kind of creative entrepreneurship in socialist countries.

I guess attractive women don't come from families - they are born in pods underneath Manhattan. :)
God forbid her kids might see a woman in a bikini and ask questions that make Susie uncomfortable...which is what this kind of opposition is always about.
Bellvue, WA voted 75% for Obama in the last election.
These are the same people who thought Madonna throwing a grenade at Bush in a video was great, but if capitalists wear pointy bras in a public setting, they gotta smoke a turd in Purgatory for that.
