Sounds to me more like they are dissing Mormonism themselves by endorsing such a compromising character. Surely if they wanted a Mormon to be President, they could back somebody who doesn’t wink at a boatload of liberal agendas?

But of course! This is a leftist character trait. The minute we point out that they're a wolf in sheep's clothing, they spin our criticism into something completely irrelevant, such as their religion, or gender. Basically, this is loosely observable in the pattern of them screaming unfair and VICTIM after we begin to point out that they're really not who they claim to be.
