Biological Mom Ordered to Give Up Child

A Vermont judge rules Lisa Miller must turn over her daughter to her former lesbian partner.

Superior Judge William Cohen ruled last week that Lisa Miller, a former lesbian who is now a Christian, must hand her daughter, Isabelle, over to her former partner, Janet Jenkins by Jan. 1.

Miller conceived Isabella through artificial insemination while she was in a civil union with Jenkins. About a year later, Miller left homosexuality.

Jenkins sued for custody, even though she has no biological tie to the child.

Miller admits she made mistakes, like signing a custody agreement while still in the relationship with Jenkins, but Mathew Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel and legal counsel for Miller, said that wouldn't stop him from appealing the decision to the Vermont Supreme Court.

"This judge in Vermont ultimately ruled that he is going to switch custody from Lisa Miller," he said, "and take her own biological daughter Isabella and move her from Virginia and put her into an activist lesbian household up in Vermont with a person she really doesn't know, who's not her biological mother, and frankly who's not acted as a parent."

The courts had ordered to spend time with Jenkins in the past, and Miller complied until her daughter complained.

"Every time that the visitation actually occurred, Isabella had violent reactions, because Janet exposed her to the lesbian lifestyle," Staver said. "(Jenkins) tried to convince her that she has two moms and even tried to scare her by saying that she was going to be taken from Lisa and transferred to Vermont."

Child abuse under the color of law.

A perfect example of the Overton window shifting as far to the left as possible.

My cousin went lesbian for about 2 years. It was in reaction I think to being raped. She even had a relationship with a nice woman. Here’s the twist when she broke up with the woman it was very cordial and the woman introduced her to the man she’s been married to for 10 years and has 3 kids with! And she and the woman are still friends. By the way the woman involved thinks that gays should push for civil unions not marriage.

I am really uncomforatable with this statement. "Janet exposed her to the lesbian lifestyle." Violent reactions to a visitation indicate something more than words went on. What is this little girl not telling?

Homosexuality seems a lot less permanent in women than men. I wonder why?

I know quite a few gay people over the years. Never met a man who switched but several women.

No judge is Superior to the One who sits upon the Throne in Heaven, and those who oppose Him need to read Ps. 2.

I think it is bcz women are naturally closer, and to the promotion of experimentation, while a lesbian relationship is not so much, if at all, driven by sexual lust, which the male homosexual evidences much of. The declension of the American male to seeing women as just sex objects, and not the unique creation of God they are, and the superficial nature of the American family, and the overall rebellion of post 60’s culture are also factors.

The sad thing is that the radical gays now have the courts and the law to enforce their agenda for them.

The radical leftists have been working under the radar, installing their radical choices for judges in courts everywhere, at all levels, for decades. Even in supposedly conservative Montana, a recent court decision similarly awarded custody to a non-biological homosexual ex-partner. I believe they are just recently reaching critical mass to enact their radical agenda unopposed.

Biological parenthood, unbelievably, now no longer ties you to your child. Others can make "plausible" claims upon your child and win if they choose the "right" court. The case in the U.K. still makes me seethe: a child is taken from his unfit, drug-addicted mother and instead of the willing, able, MARRIED grandparents being granted custody, the child was placed with two homosexual men. Furthermore, the grandparents were threatened by the court with NEVER SEEING THEIR GRANDCHILD AGAIN if they objected.

This is coming here. Soon.

That’s fine, daniel1212, but in the meantime evil people can do a lot of damage here on earth.

I don’t want to wait for the Afterlife to put a stop to their activities. I want to stop them in the here-and-now, using secular means.

You’re right. I don’t know why, but it seems like some women
are temporarily so repulsed by the man in their life that they switch over temporarily until over the trauma. (takes swig of cheap whiskey, puffs cigar, scratches self, goes back to cleaning motorcycle parts in bathtub).

“This is very sad. My observation is that some women end up in gay relationships after a relationship with a man has gone really, really wrong (could be a marriage, could be a family relationship such as that with their father, etc.) because they find women less threatening. However, it’s not a permanent thing and a lot of them will grow out of it.”

That’s a good point. The other reason is to make a statement about feminism. No woman can PROVE she’s a feminist without being a lesbian. It’s a just a man-hating stage that young women often go through. No one actually believes that garbage.

Kick this down the lane for the next twenty years or so, you wonder how many kids this will happen to?

Good question - expect them to adjust in the same way that children of divorce have coped.
Using my family history:
1940’s no divorces.
1960’s divorces no remarriages.
1980’s divorce and remarriage and integrated families. 2000’s living together before marriage - with children then marriage.

I dunno, at some point society reaches a tipping point, when you start snatching children from their biological parent(s)............

I believe you’re right. Every lesbian I ever knew either had an abusive father or an abusive ex-husband. Also, in every case, they were capable of getting huge crushes on men.

Males might be “born gay,” but I firmly believe that females are not.

The child would have had to be in VA for six months pre-lawsuit in order for VA to have jurisdiction under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act.

Good point....under color of law children are being *snatched* for spite.

It is appropriate to rescue children for abuse, neglect and abandonment, but these *custody* battles are being decided on political correctness, not in the best interest of the children. The tipping point you raise, will be decided by those poor children. Watch for law suits.
