Anti-Israeli Swedish govt pushes EU unilateral declaration of Pal state & division of Jerusalem

Sweden, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, is pushing the EU to make an official statement next week backing both a unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood and also the division of Jerusalem, a draft resolution obtained exclusively by Israel’s Haaretz newspaper shows.

EU foreign ministers may now make a declaration along such lines at a meeting on December 7. It would be the first significant foreign policy initiative following the creation of a de facto EU foreign ministry under the terms of the Lisbon Treaty which came into effect today.

Israel is still reeling from the refusal of the Swedish government to distance itself from a report during the summer by the country’s top selling newspaper, Aftonbladet, which alleged an international Jewish conspiracy in which the Israel Defence Forces were said to be harvesting the bodily organs of Palestinian children for sale on the black market. Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt was, however, among the first to condemn Switzerland for its decision on Sunday to ban the construction of Muslim minarets which he described as “an expression of quite a bit of prejudice and maybe even fear”, adding that it was “a negative signal in every way.”

Melanie Phillips, the leading British journalist and political commentator, writes:

“Until a short while ago Shepherd, now Director of International Affairs at the Henry Jackson Society, was a senior fellow at The Royal Institute of International Affairs — commonly known as Chatham House — in charge of its European programme. After two years he left in bitter circumstances, claiming he had been forced out principally because of his publicly expressed support for Israel”

EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ

By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez

I walked down the street in Barcelona , and suddenly discovered a
terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz . We killed six million Jews and
replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture,
thought, creativity, talent. The contribution of this people is felt in all
areas of life: science, art, international trade, and the conscience of the
world. These are the people we burned.

And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove
to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our
gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance,
religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an
unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish
cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime.

Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government,
they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical
hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness
and superstition.

We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and
their talent for hoping for a better future for their children, their
determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue
death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and
others, for our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe .

What is this fascination with creating a terrorist nation all about anyway? Is Europe really this brain dead?

The Palestinians have had 60 years to show they are capable of being a peaceful neighbor to anyone, and they have failed miserably not only with Israel, but others.

So what drives this insanity behind making this terrorist territory into a full blown nation? What is gained by that?

How about we divide Stockholm instead: islamists on one side, blondies on the other.

People never seem to learn - every country that has tried to divide Jerusalem has come to or is coming to a sticky end. The Bible is very clear and the warnings many about this kind of folly.
Every government seems to be appeasing the jihadists. Churchill's warning is apropos; “an appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile hoping it will eat him last”.

” It would be the first significant foreign policy initiative following the creation of a de facto EU foreign ministry under the terms of the Lisbon Treaty which came into effect today.”

So the VERY FIRST act of the new EU will be to condemn Israel.

Of course.

My oh my. How times have changed:
During WWII
Sweden supported Norwegian resistance, and in 1943 helped rescue Danish Jews from deportation to concentration camps. Toward the end of the war, Sweden began to play a role in humanitarian efforts and many refugees, among them many Jews from Nazi-occupied Europe, were saved partly because of the Swedish involvement in rescue missions at the internment camps and partly because Sweden served as a haven for refugees, primarily from the Nordic countries and the Baltic states.

And me thinks I'll be holding off on buying that Schmidt Rubin K31 Carbine (7.5 x 55 Swiss) for a while.

When the Swedish political class allows its citizens to vote on its membership in the EU, an assimilation policy for “New Swedes”, and immigration numbers I will listen to the twaddle of this “conservative” government.
Until then it remains a competitive oligarchy with no legitimacy.

I'd say Malmo instead of Stockholm; otherwise, good idea.

Swiss means ‘from Switzerland’, not Sweden (that’d be ‘Swede’).

DUH! You're right. But I didn't mean 'Swiss'.

There's a 'Swedish Mauser' from SAMCO I've been contemplating getting and copied the wrong dang thing from the SAMCO's web page.
