Gilad Shalit must be the son of one big, important, individual for Israel to work so hard and so long on getting him back. Don’t take me wrong, he should be returned and I hope he is......but who is he?

I don't like swaps like this, but it's consistant with Israeli policy. And they seem to do OK facing a far more serious terrorist threat than we do. But I'd hate to see the US adopt it.
