On second thought, Zelaya’s a typical deluded, power hungry wacko in either scenario.

Why would Lobo want to talk to Zelaya?

I can see why Zelaya would wish such a meeting , but Lobo would be dumb to speak to this guy.

Zelaya is irrelevant. He is nothing. Sure he is staying at the Brazilian embassy. Where else can he go?

Zelaya is, independently and apart from politics, a very wealthy man who comes from a wealthy family. There is no reason for anyone to support him, or his wife, or his children. The Honduran government has not seized any of his assets. I do not believe he will end up in the US. If he leaves Honduras in one piece, I would guess he will re-locate to another latin american country, such as Nicaragua, from where he can continue to angle for a return to power.

he would be willing to talk to the new president-elect

Kinda like a mouse saying to a cat: "OK, I got ya right where I want ya. Wanna make a deal?"

I will suggest that to the organizers of the inauguration.
It’s a great idea to have them here. But maybe the WH and Kerry will try to stop them.

(i have great hope in Mrs. Palin)
