This number is as artificially high as the unemployment rate is low.

Not low enough. Not by a light-year. I’ll be satisfied when it’s under 20%.

When the left complains that Bush’s numbers were higher only because of 9-11, keep in mind that Bush’s numbers were higher than Obamas even before 9-11

What is really getting Gibbs and the rest of the obamarats is that BO’s popularity is dropping like a dog turd in spite of the old media doing everything in their power to support his marxism and his incompetence.

Saying he is “lowest” is racist and a hate crime.

The interesting one in this list is Reagan at 49 percent. Reagan was elected in Nov. 1980 and inherited a bad economy. The first two years 81-82 were bad and 1982 was the low point. But during this time, Reagan cut the tax rates and got them through Congress. The economy started to turn around in the first quarter of 1983. The rest is history. I think his ratings were higher because people intuitively agreed with lowering tax rates.

What Hussien is doing is completely opposite of what Reagan did. Plus, there will be NO recovery in 2010. There is NOTHING that Hussien has done or is doing that will help businesses grow and hire people.

Okay, I live in Silicon Valley and I can tell a whole lot of people are not drinking the Cooool-Aid anymore and wondering what’s going with Barry O.

I am sure the pollsters are using a box of crayons to write their report, as there is no way Barry O. has an approval rating of 47%.

Fascinating. I seem to recall things in the country were very, very grim around Christmas 1977. And yet the Peanut Farmer had a full ten points on Barry.

Does this mean the honeymoon is over? Boo Hoo

I guess this whole socialism experiment isn’t working out so-well

Maybe the big O could appoint Michael Mann as chief scientist in charge of polls. He managed to invent temperature changes out of thin air, maybe he can do the same with poll numbers.

It’s worse than that when you look at disapproval ratings. When Bill Clinton had a 48% approval rating at a similar point in his presidency, his disapproval rating was only 43%. In fact, when his approval rating had dropped earlier in his presidency all the way down to 37%, his disapproval rating peaked at 49%. (Keep in mind, Clinton was elected with 43% of the vote, compared the Chosen One, who had 53% of the vote.)

Obama’s disapproval rating stands at 46%.

Reagan also famously recovered from low approval ratings, but his disapproval ratings only topped 48% for a brief while shortly after the 1982 elections, when many Republicans blamed him for the disastrous results. Reagan had also deferred short-term, weak growth for robust, long-term economic health. The result was a second dip in the 1979-1983 depression, with unemployment rates spiking as a result of high interest rates. Obama has done the opposite: He has sacrificed long-term solvency for a short term economic boost which is really nothing more than government spending.

By 1984, the economy was growing at an unprecedented rate. Does anyone really expect 9% growth in 2012?

You know that because of the contentiousness of this election that a lot of lefties are lying about approving of his performance.

So how many of that 47% really disapprove of him?

President Obama's job approval rating has fallen to 47 percent in the latest Gallup poll, the lowest ever recorded for any president at this point in his term.

HAHAHAHA!
