How to Stop Iran

Politically, no Israeli prime minister could survive the fact that Iran became a nuclear-armed state, officially or unofficially, on his watch. The pressure on the Israeli government to do something to counter Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons would be so strong that it could well be tempted to play a desperate gamble, regardless of any security guaranties that the U.S. might offer. Similarly, no U.S. president (especially one endowed with a Nobel Prize) could escape blame for having let Iran become a nuclear-weapon state by consistently underestimating its ability to conceal its preparations. The intelligence community's credibility would be devastated, and the indecision by successive administrations (Clinton, Bush and now Obama) to quash a program that has been suspected for 15 years and openly known for seven would be seen as a failure of major proportions. What's more, the message sent to all U.S. and Western allies in the Gulf region would be dire. For all the promises made to these allies, the West has been unable to prevent a rogue stateone intent on destabilizing their societies, the strategic balance in the Middle East and beyond, and the oil marketfrom acquiring nuclear weapons that will make it much more difficult to compel it to behave prudently.

Makes one wonder how long action against Iran can be delayed. New ships, long range missles that are faster
than any interceptor, stockpiles of nuclear material, threats. Are we waiting for the movie to come out before
we act?

Iran is becoming almost as much of a threat as the Muslims that live in our midst.

"regardless of any security guaranties that the U.S. might offer"
it saddens me to say it, but a country which can elect the Obamanation and a 'Rat Congress cannot possibly be relied upon for such "security guarantees" --- sure our USA is still a lot better than most piss-hole countries, but so far as international "security guarantees" go the Demagogues are ready to undermine them at any time.
Israelis would be crazy to rely upon any guarantees from an Obamanation......that's about like putting their security in the hands of their own "Peace Now" movement..... Israel's own best security must rely upon its own armed forces and resolute political decisions (when possible)...... would Israel rely upon "security guarantees" from the Italian Communist Party? That's about what "guarantees" from most Democrats (and RINOs) are worth these days.....

Iran sure demands a lot more attention than they are getting from the world powers.

Israel cannot stand and let Iran have absolute nuclear capability. Israel knows the current US administration would throw the Israelites under the bus at a moment’s notice. It is only logical that we are just a heartbeat away from a significant strike by Israel against Iran. I just hope it is a knockout punch.

Don’t worry, our leader is moving very quickly on this one, much like Afghanistan. In fact, I’m sure he’s losing sleep on this one.

The intelligence community's credibility would be devastated ... I never knew that they had any - not after Sept 11, anyway.

Politically, no Israeli prime minister could survive the fact that Iran became a nuclear-armed state, officially or unofficially, on his watch.
Israel has to wait and see how the internal protests go in Iran. Any Israeli military strike has the consequence of domestically strengthening the mullahs; in fact, one might suspect that, to a point, the protests are benefiting the illegal Islamofascist regime.
Unless it is carried out against the mullahs and their foreign Arab enforcers...
Israel must also be considering the timetable of delivery of those Russian anti-aircraft systems to Iran.
Obama is weakening, in fact, we're almost to the point where the American political turmoil can begin to be termed "The Obama Disaster". Israel must consider US domestic politics as it plans a military operation with such broad consequences.

Israel had better strike now, or be struck.
And naturally as things stand now, Israel can expect no aid or support from Washington. Apparently just as America's Jews wanted when they voted, en mass, as they did in '08.
Some did get the message last election, y'know. ;^)

This is where the rubber is going to hit the road in terms of whether our muzzie president will in fact help protect Israel from nuclear annihilation by an islamic regime. This is where we are going to see where his true loyalty lies. It will be the proof in the pudding. It will be interesting, and scary, to see how this plays out.

I've advocated that for quite a while. If there's one thing that scares the mullahs the most, it's an uprising among their own people.
Plus, an added benefit - their pre-occupation with a domestic emergency might slow down some of their more destructive international adventures.
